High Transfer Speeds for Fast Start Up
Powered by high quality controller and original synchronous NAND flash, Ace A55 delivers incredibly high transfer speeds that enable short boot time, fast application loading and quick file processing.

SLC Cache Technology for Performance Boost and Longer Lifespan
The A55 especially applies the ”SLC Cache technology” that allows all data to be written in the SLC portion first and leads to higher peak writing performance. In addition, the technology can reduce write amplification and thus offer better endurance and longer lifespan of the SSD.

Free-download SSD Health Monitor Tool - SP Toolbox Software
The A55 comes with a free-download SSD health monitor tool - SP Toolbox Software, which is especially designed for you to easily monitor the current health status of a SSD. By such, you can run a performance test, get an overall health evaluation and check detailed information about your SSD, including used space on device, device temperature, total bytes written, S.M.A.R.T. status, erase count status and block numbers.
*Please download the software at SP Official Website.

Absolutely Reliable with Bad Block Management
The A55 is built with Bad Block Management, which can continually monitor and replace bad blocks to keep your system in good condition with prolonged lifespan of a SSD.

Multiple Techniques Supported
The A55 is one of the lightest and thinnest SSD of its kind yet it is shock- and vibration-proof since it contains no moving parts. Furthermore, S.M.A.R.T. monitoring system and ECC technology are equipped to promise higher data transmission safety.

3-year Warranty
The Ace A55 is backed by 3-year warranty.

I don’t know this brand SSD

    • +2

It's not sold much in Australia and it's not as well known as Samsung or intel but it's a decent brand that's been around for a while.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silicon_Power

    • Been using one of their (much) older/smaller model ones for the last ~5 years no problems, i'd probably buy again from them if i was in the market

  • This is tempting……..

Can this work with a SATA port?

    • yes, But this product doesn't come with a Sata cable which needs to be bough separately

      • all good, I have spare SATA. Looking to replace my 480gb SSD

        • most motherboards have a few sata connectors. You could potentially keep the 480gb drive in and use it as a secondary?

        • @mec: Nah I've only got 3 SATA ports and I need the other 2 for HDD and optical

And what is NAND? Is that some sort of feature or something?

        • @Homr:
you could find a cheaper version of this https://www.amazon.com/OWC-Accelsior-PCIe-Adapter-Drives/dp/…
and slot it in like a graphics card? I'm not really the biggest expert on NAND technology. Hopefully someone else can explain is a much better way than me

        • @mec: Interesting, how much does that cost? I can't seem to find the price.

        • @Homr: 70ish aud. I would look see firstly if your computer is compatible and look for a cheaper one.

        • @Homr: Really..Can I ask why? Are you upgrading for this brand or for the capacity? I just bought a 500GB SSD and thought that was heaps

        • @fuzor: It's for Capacity, 500gb is getting a bit slim for me. I've had this 500gb SSD for 2yrs now.

GTA 5 and Quantum Break takes 130Gb in total.

        • +1

@Homr: nand is the flash memory chip as opposed to dram which your normal ram.

p.s we run 1 tb ssd for steam drive ….life is too short for bad wine or slow game drives.

    • Yes it's a 2.5" SATA 3 SSD as per the product title on Amazon. It could have taken you 5 seconds to look that up.

Is this real 1TB this time? Or are they gonna pull that same bs as the 240GB-120GB thing?

    • +2

Do you mean will Windows show 1TB instead of a bit less like 931GB? If that's the case then storage is marketed and measured a different way and that will always be the case.

        • That was a listing error by Inland. There is the potential for every deal on anything to have a listing error. I wouldn't worry and in the very unlikely chance of anything going wrong Amazon would sort it.

    • Different vendor, different SKU/barcode, different product, relatively normal price. We can't make your decisions, though.

  • Thanks OP. Grabbing one. :)

    • there are only a few flash manufacturers and controller manufactuers, i think these drives use hynix, not sure on controller, so will be fine.

it’s 20% cheaper than crucial on special, 25% cheaper than evo850 ….. good cheap way to get into 1 tb ….. for me i need to upgrade from 1 tb to 2 tb ssd and no killer deals on 2 tb as yet.

  • I'm not sure about their SSD, but I got the Silicon SD card from COTD many years ago, the SD card suddenly died after 1yr for some reason. Reliability wise isn't very good in term of their SD card.

    • As for me i bought a Silicon USB flash drive from Amazon and it went faulty within a year.

But this SSD might be more reliable than a cheap USB flash given a 3 year warranty. But then this 3 year warranty would probably only be valid if it's shipped back to the USA.

  • Pulled the trigger yesterday due to the recent Aussie dollar hike I only paid $252

  • This is $179.99 USD now
