    28 day expiry, $20 recharge. ==> $20/month minimum spend.
That ends up being pretty expensive. Most of those other resellers have long expiry.

    • Well if you make regular national calls on a mobile it might not actually be that bad.

But considering that other resellers have for example rates to vietnam for 2c/min that's only 10min to make back the flagfall.
This is neither a bad option for caling overseas but it isnt a great one either.

Much cheaper option is lycamobile if you're going down the prepaid sim route:

      All similar small rats.

Do you know lyca has flagfall (19c for each call)?

Do you know there rate after promotional period which ends in 31st Jan 2011?

this is pretty old, it was released about 4mths ago.
Sad thing is that it's cheaper to call OS then local.
and don't forget 20c flagfall & it's billed per min.

    i agree, 28 day expiry is a -ve…

and how come i can call Bolivia cheaper than calling my mum down the road ???

    • +1

this has been the case fo a long long time, telstra prepaid had calls to the US at around 30 cents but local is 70cents plus (these rates are about 10 years ago, i think its around the same now.)

    • Bolivia? Because the calls are carried over Internet links and are not subject to SLA's like Australian mobile networks are.

Also, there are Australian providers to "call your mum" for cheaper, you should consider shopping around.
Me? I just holler and your mum comes running.

Good deal with mobility in hands…… Right now i am using www.phoneindia.com and calls are pretty cheap (India - 1.7c) straight from your landline or mobile but i have to give additional fee (call to the landline, which actually connects me to the actual number)

Better option is to use www.localphone.com
1.5 cents per minute to India. Mind it, the currency is in US Dollars. (for phoneindia too) and you are given a dedicated local numbers to your contacts.

  • 28 day expiry is definitely not a good deal. There are other companies with 3 month of expiry and at the same price.
