  • You don't need to be with Virgin Mobile to use this offer. Am I right?

    • +1

yeah should be fine. You just enter the code into the machine when you're renting the dvds.

  • My local video shop is still cheaper, new releases are only $1 on Tues and Thurs…

    • +1

with this deal it will still only cost $1.50 for a new release

    • my local video store wants $7 for a new release!

      • ours is normally $3, but only $1 on Tue and Thur…

  • don't forget that Oovie will give you one free rental on the first wed of every month. Go to the website to sign up

    • Do they still need your credit card details for the free rental, or can you sign up and just get a free rental without providing them access to your accounts?

      • You need a credit card in order to get the freebie at the oovie machine. Dun think you need to provide your CC details to sign up for an account though.

    • You can get one free movie per credit card on the first Wednesday of every month.

Oovie would be a lot better if they didn't fill the machine with crap and just put new releases in it.

  • They Need your Credit card, So that way if you skip town they can charge it to the Card..
I Just had a friend try this code at the OOVIE Machine and it worked fine..!!

    Great post..!!!!

  • I just rented Despicable Me, Inception, Tomorrow when the war began and Cats and Dogs 2 :) Thanks!

  • I rent movies for free at my local libraries. They have all the latest movies plus oldies too. Get to keep them for a whole month but I return them once I've seen them.

    • WTF? Where are you located? Do all libraries provide DVDs?

      • mine does… we get them for 3 weeks… lots of new releases too..

when something comes out, i just request it and they usually get in in withing a month, and i get to see it first… :P

        • yes - check your local library - a lot of them are starting this now.
My local has so many dvd's now they cant even display them face forward anymore - only spine side, just like a book.

Good to rent movies you've already seen but just get it for the directors commentary.

        • yes that's right, it's actually 3 weeks (used to be 4). my library belongs to a network of libraries within Sydney so if they don't actually have it at my local, I can request it and pick it up at my local library.

  • they used to give a free rental once a week on Wed, but they cut that to once a month now, did it really cost them that much? :(
ps my local machine was breaking down every other week!

  • Yep worked fine! thanks man!!! Yeah shame it's gone to once a month now. Although I was pretty much watch all the vids in my local machine.
