    Worth checking the reviews haha

Wonder which poor idiot paid $198

  • Such poor review!

I had two of these with my two bubs. They got shitty reviews but actually did the job. As the video had a slight delay I used them for video only and had a simple audio baby sound monitor.

Issue I had with them was Dlink updating app and breaking functionality then fixing with update. Not ideal when it’s a baby monitor!

For $29 I think it’s a steal despite the shitty reviews.

    • hey mooney, can you install 2 cameras in the same time and see both on the app? thanks

      • I have two and you can only view one at a time using the included Dlink app (which I don't use). You can view both at same time if you use much better third party apps like iSpy (free) for PC or Tinycam pro for Android whick allow many Cams side by side. Hope that answers your Q?

  • how is it compare with the previous $19 Swann one?

Was going to buy it for the hell of buying it…. then i read the reviews

They are pretty bad. I owned one before. For the money xiaomi camera is so much better. Consistent performance

Great stuff. Bought one based on the bad reviews. I dont even have a baby!
Possible Tip: Wonder if the Aprils Firmware update helps. If not Dlink will be hearing from me :-)

    • Read that quickly and saw aprils fools the first time

  • are these any good for building a botnet?

  • Postage is free …

  • We use the Dormi app on an old Android smartphone as a good alternative.

  • Got two of these for about this price during DSE liquidation.
Bricked one of them when power went out during a firmware update. Anyone got a link to emergency firmware recovery instructions for this model?

  • Lol at the reviews. It's almost irresponsible to use after reading those reviews. Do not use this as a baby or child monitor please for the safety of your kids

Baby monitors aren't really for child safety they are more for parents stress levels

The older firmwares allowed you to enable a whole bunch of advanced options making this an excellent camera at this price.
The newer firmwares have locked this all out unfortunately.

Don't use the Dlink app if you want to keep your sanity.

This is not a camera for anyone looking for something easy to set up.

  • Have been using this camera troublefree for a few years now. App is a bit clunky but it works. Def had issues in the past (freezing of picture which is a nuisance) but hasn’t happened in ages. Slight delay in video and audio but not significant. Overall not fantastic but also not as terrible as the reviews suggest.

  • Not bad for $29…….incl free postage. They work with Tiny Cam Pro app. Nice floating window on My Android Tablet if keeping an eye out on things while still browsing (Tiny Cam app chews power though even if device plugged in). Not sure I would use as a Baby Cam though and for me a handy casual Cam for misc tasks/monitoring.

Pros: Decent Vid quality. Works with Tiny Cam Pro for additional features and also stream to VLC player on PC. Can select motion sensor area/grid to exclude zones (for notifications). WiFi signal is decent…..lots more

Cons: Large size, IR seems to come on way to early. No zoom. No motor to move cam remotely but for a static Cam, great value. Sure there are more cons not mentioned but for $29 great value and decent casual cam for hobbyists!
