410

Choose from 87 different knots and see how they're tied in incredible detail. Watch the knot draw itself or use your finger to tie and untie the knot. Its easy to see where the virtual rope goes in and out and around. (Something about a rabbit and a hole and a tree right? ) Zoom in on the knot to get a closer look or flip it around for another perspective. Can your old school knot app do that?!

Used it when I went fishing to tie hooks and swivels properly. Very good app. Haven’t had need of it other times yet but it’s there when I do.

    • Yeah that's exactly what I used it for. Also used it once when I went camping with the family.

  • This is a great app… knot

Just downloaded the Knots 3D app. Not bad at all!
Draws the rope in 3D, and you can slow down the animation to follow along, also rotating the angle to get a better look on opposite side for the really tricky knots. Also gives a short description of the knot and its best uses, which is very handy.

I feel more manly already :).

    Worth the download, thanks OP.

The links all go to iOS apps? Am I missing where I can get it for Android?

EDIT: Clicking the image goes to the Play store, Thanks!

It's knot free anymore (which leaves me at a loose end).

$2.49 on Play Store; $2.99 in the iCult walled garden (i.e., the usual 20% iCult markup for monotaskers).

I was hoping to be able to send SturmbahnFührer Peter " I made enough as a narc to buy $2m worth of property " Dutton a video to enable him to properly tie a noose so he can hang himself (or any of the high-school dropouts that work as Little Eichmanns for the Oz Cheka).

    Oh well, next time, maybe.
