  • Can anyone who bought the 65n7 from previous deals comment on their experience with the TV?

    • +4

I bought the 65n7 and the TCL equivalent. The TCL is like a Daewoo and the Hisense is like the Mazda. Honestly I was and am still blown away from the Hisense for what you get. It's extremely responsive, HDR content is jaw dropping. It uses Samsung panel and definitely shows. I'm so impressed i want to flog the TCL off and replace it with another Hisense.

The TCL is clunky and just so buggy I despise using it.

      • which TCL? the C2 or X2?

        • C2 which is a pile of…

    • It's a great TV highly reccomend it

    • I bought mine late last year and it cost me $1886.00 from Harvey Normans

Man I wish I waited now and could of paid $319.00 mor and got the 75"inch instead

    • I bought it from JB last week after researching lots. I found its panel rivals many of its competitor's options in the ~2k price point. The sound leaves a bit to be desired - gets easily loud enough but downward facing speakers aren't ideal. A soundbar will do wonders. It upscales pretty damn well too. I haggled them down to $1280 for mine.

  • 75" is tempting at this nice.

    • +13

Yep, definitely tempting at that nice.

    • +1

      That's nice.

    • It's so nice that its tempting

      • Veddyy niiiiice!!!

  • "Looks like this code isn't ready yet. Please try again later."

    Maybe I'll try later…

    • +3

      Try again in 1 min

  • Yep, that be a decent price. I still can’t justify it (the old 37” Hisense is still tickin’ along) but it’s a good price.

    • My 50" Toshiba FHD bought back in 2014 is still going strong. I use it for free-to-air, Chromecast, PS4 Pro, Android Box, and Fetch TV. I don't watch any 4K content at all. I'm so tempted to get this 65N7, but I guess I have no need for it yet? :S

      • I’ve been batting with the same decision on the Sony 4K 60”. Old Sony FHD 50” is still amazing picture quality. Would have to upgrade the Apple TV and PS4 to get 4K. Decided to wait for OLEDs to come down in price In the end..

  • Does anyone know the size of the stand for the 65N7?

I am not sure it will fit on our TV cabinet…

    • 65N7 = 1450mm and the 75N7 is adjustable down to 850mm. I am considering it now the Denon 2400 H has arrived from Germany.

      • I wonder if you could make the stand smaller for 65N7… or maybe just wall mount.

        • I have the 65N7. No adjustment as far as I could tell. Thought about reversing the way the legs attach to redude the footprint, but I think that is a bad idea.

  • +5

    Tempting.
Quietly waiting for my 8yr old panasonic plasma to die.
Maybe after I've made use of the "free" heating for another winter.

    • I reckon, I'm hoping my kids knock mine off the stand… maybe we bought at the same time…. Extra special Bing Lee sale. $888 for my 8 year old 46" Panasonic Plasma.

      • +2

If my kids knocked my 58" off the stand I don't think there would be much left of the kids…
        Win win?

    • +5

I don't think my 10 year old Panny Plasma will ever die, so now I'm just waiting for the NBN to roll around in order to justify getting a 4K TV.

      • Same.. great tv.

      • +1

Same here. Still kicking on strong.. Only problem is the shitty hd box we use with it…

      • Biding time for my 12-yo Sammy plasma (only 720p/1080i) to kick the bucket.

  • perfect timing! Old faithful samsung had a slight accident last night.

    • Did you do it?

      • haha, no. However i was the one who placed it where it had the accident. 1st time it had been off the wall mount in years.

    • My Sony might need to have an accident!

  • Sorry guys, they've decided to raise the price back up to $1490 :/ Have marked the 65N7 as expired.

    • Bugger

    • I wonder why..

Would assume the 10% off is entirely paid by eBay so why would they raise the price back up?

      • +1

Gotta say that $1341 is still pretty good price, considering it includes delivery.

        • +1

I am seeing $104.00 postage (even for a Melbourne metro postcode) :/

        • +1

          And $50 off via cashback.

          Agreed on a great price!

        • +2

Thanks, bought 65" with cashback app.

  • that 75" price is amazing.. 65" too, i have the 65 but if i was in the market for another TV i'd go 75. its the largest tv you can get at an affordable price point, 85" just goes to ridiculous prices

  • +2

Bought the 75" in the recent good guys deal. Can vouch for it. Such a good tv. Highly recommended. 4K content on Netflix is amazing. Try Planet Earth 2. Just stunning.

Software is really responsive. TV starts really quickly. A gripe I had with my Samsung was how long it took for the tv guide to load especially everytime you were scrolling to see more channels. The Hisense has almost no loading time it's great.

It has Freeview plus too which is great.

So much hate for tassie… wish I could neg vote the deal again :P

  • Free postage is not as claimed by the blurb on ebay - claims to exclude 'Far North Queensland' and yet postage to Nambour which is in the South is $104, charges for postage to regional NSW.

  • +1

i can vouch for the Hisense 75 N7. It's an amazing tv for the price. I was tossing up between this and Sony KD75X8500E after months of deliberation and finally bit the bullet and chose Hisense. I didn't see value in paying $500 - $600 more for the Sony. At this price the Hisense was too good to pass up on.

TV sound isn't that great and so looking for a decent soundbar. Has anyone had experience with the JBL BAR 5.1? I'm interested in this system as it has rechargeable surround speakers that is detachable and says it lasts up to 10 hours. JBL BAR 5.1 appeals to me because of the wireless surround speakers.

  • +1

Would anyone happen to know how this compares to the Samsung UA75MU6100WXXY which is $2295?

    • You can go online and compare contrast ratios and brightness etc, but with all the proprietary technology and panel types it'll do your head in. Best way to compare is to go instore and check it out for yourself side by side. Bring standard def footage on a USB with you and ask them to play it. All their pre-loaded 4K footage isn't the best representation of how the TV will perform day to day.

  • +1

Something else to consider is the Hisense has an extra 2 years warranty standard vs 1 year with other brands. Very happy with mine, the OS runs butter smooth vs the LG WebOs tv I had with it’s bloody pointy remote thing arghhh!! Plays MKVs from USB as well, also has Plex installed

  • These deals are insane!!!

But I think i'll just stick to my Panny Plasma VT60 for now!

  • Great deal in theory - thanks OP.

Unfortunately, the free shipping is a furphy to metro Sydney, and adds $68 on top of the $40 price jack. I'm keen to pull the trigger, but a true OzBargainer could never knowingly pay more than $100 over the odds for a TV.

The battle between the left and right side of my brain shall endure until the next 65n7 deal…

  • +2

Thanks OP, bought 65N7 with Shopback app 😊.

    • How much altogether? Itll help me pull the trigger lol

      • Not much help now. After cashback $1291 delivered.

  • Holy hell ! I missed this deal. With the PRAISE ebay code, 65 N7 comes to $1354 + shipping $55.00. So all in all $ 1409.

Guys, you think its a fair price, or anyone sense another round of sale nearby? I am so confused

    • The Good Guys have sold out of 65N7's nationally apparently. Essentially clearance product now as its discontinued.

Try and haggle between the big retailers. They want to clear these out & you'll get better than $1400.

      • Hey Brettymaccc,

I can't seem to PM you (not sure if your settings are set to allow it). Wondering if you could PM me your receipt from JB please? Their current price is $1500 and they won't go below $1450 :-(

        Thanks,
        Theredrabitt

  • Anyone experiencing electric shocks from the Hisense frames.

Referring to this: Hisense TV causing electric shock - https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2672849

Also for those wondering a 75 inch tv is 33% larger than a 65 inch tv.

    65 inch tv = 1805.3 square inches

    75 inch tv = 2403.6 square inches

  • Can someone post the receipt for the 75N7 if they bought it please

  • -1

Does this come with a remote control? I'm thinking of trading in my old black and white PYE TV which suddenly stopped working over 4 years ago (only shows static, as if someone switched off the signal).

  • Dagnabit! Price for the 75" has gone up to $2450 and the Ebay coupon no longer works either. Need to be on-the-ball a bit better next time.

    • Currently on sale for $2,175 at www.binglee.com.au until 7am tomorrow.

Get your order in ASAP - deals are starting to thin out considerably with 2018 models due imminently and the Aussie dollar crashing…
