  • I was looking for these yesterday, and there are cheaper ones on ebay (they are all imported anyways)

    • Are they genuine? Real Energizer rechargeables sold in Australia are made in Japan. Chinese batteries are cheaper and often just as good in terms of quality, but beware of dodgy fakes masquerading as Energizers.

I once bought a set of 16 'bargain' AA NiMH cells off eBay. Only one could hold a charge longer than 10 minutes. Most couldn't be charged at all and overheated.

  • I'll never buy energizers again. I've found that they are not much (if at all) better than the cheapies that Cluster described in the replies above.

These really are at least half-price. If you buy from Ebay you run a good risk of getting fakes so this is a great deal!

edit: why do these and the AA's say 1.2V? Shouldn't they be both 1.5V?

    • Both NiMH (which these are) and the old NiCad batteries are nominally 1.2v.

      • Yep. The Rechargeables come off the charger at 1.3 to 1.4v but immediately droop to about 1.2v under load. Thus the 1.2v rating

These don't seem to be LSD or pre-charged (maintains charge when not in use) batteries as far as i can tell.

I wouldn't ever buy the older types again as the old ones loose almost all their charge when not in use for like a week, and you would have to charge them again for use.
