Handle all your cooking jobs with one powerful appliance

    How does it make soup?

      1. Remove the rotating cage.
      2. Add water & ingredients.
      3. Full power, max timer, and wait.

Next challenge: make pancakes. Or jaffles.

          1. Add pancake mix and water/milk into Moconna Jar.
          2. Slide it to the rotating drum.
          3. Min power, 5 mins timer. Pancake mix done.
          4. Put a non-stick pan without handle (e.g. Tefal Ingenio) into the oven.
          5. Max power. Heat the pan.
          6. When the pan is hot enough, open the lid, and pour 1 laddle of pancake mix into the pan.
          7. Close the lid. Max power, and wait.
        • @ausdday:

          You don't flip your pancakes?

I've also thought of two more: sous vide, and pressure cooker.

I am eagerly awaiting your solution to the jaffle problem.

          @Russ:

          You don't flip your pancakes?

8 Open lid. Flip. Close lid. Wait. Do I have to spoon-feed you as well?

I am eagerly awaiting your solution to the jaffle problem.

Follow step 6 - 8 as above. Replace pancake mix with the sandwich, Buttered. Press down with another pan.

I've also thought of two more: sous vide, and pressure cooker.

          sous vide:
Water + power (according to your desire temperature) + blutack to keep the timer at max.

          pressure cooker:
MAX power + bread dough to seal the cover + pray (that it won't explode).

  • How different is this from Kogan 12L Multifunction Air Fryer ?

    • No rotary function? I don’t know, I just read it…

      • There's a rotating roast cage in the one I linked. Unless it doesn't rotate even if it has the rotating roast cage?

Looks like an over-engineered version of 12L Convection Oven $45.00

    • I think it's quite a clever design. Having the rotating drum makes this more versatile. E.g. Roasting nuts and coffee beans. :)

      • Roasting nuts and coffee beans

Are these really good for that? I roast nuts a lot - think this would be better than swapping trays in an oven?

        • Not sure. Haven't got 1 yet. But I am sure it's capable of doing that. The rotating drum will create a more even roast. Just not too sure about the quality.

I have one and they are slow and the cage for cooking chips is small barely enough for two. It takes about 25mins to cook chips from frozen at maximum temp .if you want to cook a chicken I suggest a small one as you will be waiting all day.ive used it 4x I'm going to get rid of it.

    • Good to know, thanks for sharing!

air fryers are a waste of space and money. They are just convection ovens with slightly faster fans. You will get similar results if you use a lattice tray in your oven in convection mode. This will prodice maximal surface area of air flow around the food.

    • Air fryers with good infrared lamps are more efficient than normal ovens.

It'll take forever to heat up with 1200 - 1400W… Buy something else with a higher wattage…

  • I bought a similar one from kogan a few months ago and they aren't very good for cooking chips. They turn out really soggy. It just isn't powerful enough.

I also tried to do a small whole chicken on the rotisserie and it took forever to cook (around 2 hours) and it wasn't that great. You are better off getting a real air fryer (like the Phillips air fryer).
