Yeah I love that stuff. Does an amazing job and smells great. A bottle goes a very long way too

      • I must've used it wrong, leaves my black car hazy

Yep user error for sure. This is the best car wash

You have to hose off and dry properly… https://www.autobarn.com.au/cc06483 (probably the best drying cloth to ever exist).

  • I see people commenting on smell all the time as if it's laundry lol. Don't quite understand it. Do you guys go around smelling the duco after a wash? Does it really matter?

I smell, caress and stare after a wash…

It's a pleasant smell while you are washing the car

The stuff smells so good you want to drink it!!

    • While admiring the fresh shine on the paint the sweet aroma tantalises the senses and thus it requires a closer sniff.

  • I bought 4 bottles of this about a year ago for $19 each, still on half my first bottle. But I'd recommend getting wash without the wax in it and the getting the Meguiars fast finish instead, the results are better and only takes 15 minutes more.

  • I do wonder how good a Wash and Wax is.

Before kids, I use to be meticulous about keeping my car clean.

Wash, claybar, polish, carnauba wax, etc. These days as I'm so busy on weekends with stuff and tired on weekends, I admit, I'll wash my car every 2 months or so.

The only time I polish my car is when using scratch X or swirl mark remover to buff out a scratch.

I use Meguiar's Ultimate Wash & Wax but not really sure how good it is. I mean it looks great after I wash it (I don't even bother to dry the car after washing anymore, going for the wet look haha) but I wonder if there is any 'wax' on the paint.

The whole Wash and Wax is never going to be as good as doing them separate, but from the online reviews this wash and wax is one of the best hybrid ones.

They are a bit like the 2 in one shampoo and conditioner, never going to be as good as the separate products.

    • It does contain carnauba waxes in the wash so there is wax on the paint.

If you wash your windscreen with it and let your car dry naturally, you should be able to see wax on the windscreen, i know i can. The smell after i wash my car with this, do the interior with Meguiars Natural Shine and spray the tyres with Armorall spray is way too poofy for my liking. : ) They each have a strong perfumy smell.

The first time i had my missus in my car after using Natural Shine, she wanted to know who the female was that i had had in the car, fair dinkum.

so if you are gonna be claying then no point using wash and wax right? cause the wax in the wash is contaminating the clay bar application. In this case NxT wash is a better product to use?

    • yes

    • If your going to clay you need to buff.

Otherwise this is great especially if you never wash the car

    gold class vs NXT?
    which is better? any comments?

  • Do yourself a favour and check out bowden's own

Hands down the best car care brand for home detailing

  • have half a bottle left.

    does decent job.

whats the benefits/cons vs the NXT car wash?

as i use the nxt sealant and love it…
