Wait another 6 months for cryto to run it's course .
People said that 12 months ago - and crypto is now ramping up out from the slump - everything is back to ROI in less than 12 months now (after power).
The real trigger for price reductions will be the next-gen releases from Nvidia in July - should be able to get a 1060 3G for $150, 1080Ti for $600 or less.
It's still a good card, should run most popular esport titles atleast.
I have a GTX760 which is probably slightly faster and yeah games like these I can play but I have to turn the settings down to the point where they really don't look good.It was a great $220 investment that lasted 5+ years so far. I cringe at having to pay more than twice that amount for a modern day equivalent (1060).
I know some people who still have their first/second gen i7/i5 gaming PC's that they built so many years ago with only one or two upgraded components. To be honest buying high end once seems like a much better option than buying low/med end and upgrading with time.
Damn - console is still $47
Hmm, wish I could run this game but a GTX660 just doesn't really cut the mustard these days.
