The keystone distortion is killing my eyes. Arghhhh. 8-)

Nokia 3310 3G (Save $50) locked to Vodafone. Limit 1 per customer.

    • +2

bought a 3310 3G - don't expect too much from this phone. the navigation buttons are way too small and functionality is quite limited. I would rather get a Telstra / Boost Zume 5 which runs Android and offers all the basic functions of a 4G phone.

      • Waiting for the 8110

        • +1

          Thanks for letting us know.

        • +11

          @WatchNerd:
          Still waiting.

      • I bought a zume 5. Works well as a secondary phone. But only as a secondary phone.

    • (Voda) Alcatel U3 (29 from Coles until Tuesday) is probably the better deal.

Quad A53 cores, 1GB ram, 8GB and a pretty clean Marshmallow.

Other 30 dollar phones at this is either A7 cores, or 4GB storage, or Lollipop, or all of the above.

U3 is probably as good as its going to get at this price range until Nokia 1 comes. (The 4" 800x480 screen is good enough resolution wise, but the viewing angles is a KILLER, the slightest angle and the colour fades out)

    Almond Milk $1.40

I've never tried to milk an almond… Udder than that, sounds like a good price…

    • +22

You are absolutely nuts, always milking puns wherever possible.

      • +22

I dairy you to say that to my face…

        • +12

I'm on mobile so I pecan't see your face.
          Mooving on….

        • Can we boot jv already

        • +1

@slimdavy5: Not in the nuts i hope.

      • +1

Alright you lot, enough with the puns. Move on, there’s nuttin’ to see here.

    • Just a 5% almond in a Ltr. That means a 2 almonds in a litre ( water )

      • That's how it tastes to me. I've tried to like it.

      • It’s a joke! Almond milk is mostly rice milk with a splash of almond juice

    • That's udderly ridiculous, you're really milking it.

    • I went to a fancy restaurant once and tried to order almond milk, like just a glass of it. Didn't understand that it was a coffee variant… :/

    • +1

It should be illegal to call these types of products “milk”.
Only lactic mammary secretions should be allowed to be labelled “milk”.

      • So coconut milk and coconut cream, which have been called that for a very long time, should have to change their names?

        • yes. it's been called like that for long, but not as long as milk has been called milk.

it should be called depulpled coconut juice and condensed depulped coconut juice.

    • +4

Well they aren't going to call it nut juice are they lol

    • You've never bust a nut then, jv?

Wish I was a drug dealer to use the Nokia 3310 as a burner phone

    • +3

You can start the preparation. Buy as many Nokia 3310 as you can at this price and then think about the next step.

      • +4

Thanks for the encouragement and motivation for forward planning. Fingers crossed and if all goes to plan I should be locked up within 6 months ❤️

        • +1

Thats the spirit. Now, you just have to wait for a good deal on drugs. Did you check ebay with 20% off coupon

        • +1

@jsbhatia: use code PRISON and dont forget Cashreward :)

    Spam has 26.8% fat.

    • +1

And a fair amount of sodium, too.

Just because there's fat doesn't mean it's bad for you… it's excess energy that gets stored as fat, whether it comes from sugar or fat isn't really a big deal.

      • Hehe I think it's pretty hard to put a positive health spin on spam.

Though they do love it in Hawaii, I'm pretty sure even Maccas have spam on the menu there.

      • +2

Pretty sure fat is the most healthy source of excess energy.

Protein stains the kidneys and can cause constipation.

Sugar can contribute to diabetes, and fructose can contribute to "fatty liver".

Fat has none of these issues, keeps you full longer and if it's oily, can help you take a dump.

      • So, Fat = energy Bars? lol

        Woohoooo..

        • +1

          SPAM: energy-dense, therefore
          Energy bars = SPAM.

          Buy SPAM @ $2.45 cos it's better value than energy/protein bars 0_o

        • @Speckled Jim: lol is that u Jim from Twitter?

    • +4

      you mean 26.8% of deliciousness

    • Do you know how much fat there is in average human?
      You cannot survive without fat.
It’s about the quantity you consume.

  • +1

    Thanks TA..
but what our Savas AKA Samwise Gamgee will do next week ? :D ;-)

Savas and Samwise Gamgee aren't the same person??

Watchnerd how is coming along in your 3310 predictions?

  • Anyone else notice a distinct lack of Hot and Spicy Spam on the shelves at Coles and Woolworths?

    • +10

Yes, because I stocked up on the entire country's supply the last time it went on sale.

And yet, my wife still says I'm not Hot and Spicy enough.

      • of course. it's an inverse relationship. The more hot and spicy spam you eat, the less hot and spicy you are to your wife.

    • +1

I've got enough hot and spicy at KFC ;)

      • There's not even a hint of spice. It's just crunchier :(

  • +1

Anyone know how to unlock the 3310 to remove network lock?

  • +1

Apologies for the average quality pics.

its ok ill forgive, just this time.

WatchNerd, we need a couple of apostrophes over here, urgently.

How many of you have the 3310?

    • I have an original one around here somewhere.

    • Have the 3330.

      • 3310 with 20 more mistakes.

    Cadbury Old Gold 200g $2.50.

Fantastic, I’ve been waiting for this. My reserves are running low from when I stocked up the last time it was this price. And I was getting sick of them dropping it to $3.00 and trying to tell us it was a bargain. Thanks tightarse.

  • Damnit, I'm down to my last two mints

  • +1

Thanks tightarse, the pics are great!

Still no half price Chicko rolls though :/

  • +2

Keep in mind the almond milk is objectively the worst tasting brand on the shelves.

  • +2

    Thanks OP!

    • +3

Are you going to get some Spam? I've heard you love that stuff.

      • +2

        Whatever gave you that idea?

        • +1

          Reported for spam.

  • Does anyone have the Optus X smart
I would like to know if it has a notification light and individual ringtones

  • Came in expecting a FlyBuys offer, 2 weeks in a row without a FlyBuys bonus offer makes me a sad sad panda

FYI this half price app is pretty handy (Does Coles, Wollies and IGA)
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.codylab.ha…

    • Do you know if the ones which are better than half price are included also?

      • Yes they are

  • How are McCain pizzas? I like some of the Dr Oetkers pizzas. Do they compare?

  • +1

That rice is actually pretty bad basmati quality wise. Coles own brand is much better
