The Avengers $9.99 on iTunes (or $8.49 with 15% off Gift Cards) and 13 Other Marvel Titles: Captain America, Guardians, Thor

210

Now might be a good time to build your Marvel Cinematic Universe digital collection:

  • The Avengers
  • Avengers: Age of Ultron
  • Iron Man
  • Iron Man 2
  • Iron Man 3
  • Captain America: The First Avenger
  • Captain America: The Winter Soldier
  • Captain America: Civil War
  • Ant-Man
  • Thor
  • Thor: The Dark World
  • Doctor Strange
  • Guardians of the Galaxy
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Some (most?) of these titles were $24.99 based on a quick Google search on Doctor Strange, a saving of 60%.

I wish there was a reliable URL that takes you straight to the iTunes MCU page (I tried), but it is featured prominently in Movies.

Here's hoping Disney eventually releases 4K content, in which case owners of matching iTunes titles will — hopefully, as they have with other studio titles — get a free upgrade from HD.

UPDATE: For a quick comparison, JB's sells the Blu Ray title for $15.98.

UPDATE: As Sulpu points out (thanks!), you can get 15% off iTunes gift cards (on sale right now at Woolies) and then buy these at $8.50 per title. That's pretty close to HALF JB's Blu Ray prices.

UPDATE: Available for one more week.

  • No sale on Google Play yet that I can see.

I’m not too hopeful on the free 4K upgrade coming. Disney have a long history of trying to get people to make multiple purchases of the same movie.

    • It Australia at least they don’t even offer 4K iTunes purchases on their latest releases; there are a few on the US store though.

$8.5 if you buy iTunes card with 15% off..

    • I wouldn't buy it any other way : )

  • So.. how does this work? Make purchase from iTune then download to hard drive?

no you can only download on your phone/ipad or watch it on your pc or mac via iTunes or watch it via apple tv..

    • I forgot to hit Reply to your message, but I replied to you a little further below.

If you mean can you download via iTunes to your Mac / iPhone / iPad (say to watch offline later or to save waiting on downloads)? Yes you can. It's what we do.

But you don't have to download though. You can just press Play and it streams on demand, much like Netflix and Stan, etc. For movies we rarely watch we just leave it "in the cloud" un-downloaded, saving space on our drives.

    • Thanks mate! Exactly what I wanted to know.. Cheers :)

    Thanks OP!
Also don't forget extra 4.9% cashback from Cashrewards

    • This deal keeps getting better — 4.9% back is good. But remember it's either cash back OR gift cards, not both — https://www.cashrewards.com.au/itunes

Good option if getting gift cards is currently a hassle / not an option.

      • nah i was thinking, buy 15% off itunes gift cards from woolies, apply it to itunes, login to cashrewards, user their itunes link to load the movies section, buy your marvel movies for an extra 4.9% off ??

        • Yeah you’re right, it could work, but I wonder what the CR website means — because I don’t know how else to use iTunes gift cards but to apply to iTunes first?
