Great deals for travel to China from MEL and SYD, particularly the Business class prices.
Tianjin is a good option for getting to Beijing, only requiring a 30 min subway and a 45 min train.

        I'm in Melb so $315rtn is under $160 each way.

        That's insane pricing. I assume I'd have to bring my own seat & AV gas for that price.

          If you search and watch close enough, you may find similar price or slightly extra for going to small cities in China for similar price over the Christmas period.

    ive taken the bullet train from beijing to tianjin. fast and easy. tianjin itself doesn't have much to offer for most travellers. go straight to beijing and spend a few days there. the great wall is one of the best tourist attractions ive been to.

    chongqing is hot pot paradise and is relatively close to spectacular forest areas.

    The search is hit-and-miss, I have tried lots of dates for syd-tianjin (business return) and it keeps returning errors. Has anyone actually seen results to book from?

    I have tried in chrome and firefox. The search goes through seemingly randomly…

      They don't operate daily flights. Use their flight schedule tool to see which days they fly before trying to make a booking.

      GS7939: TSN to SYD via CGO. Fri & Mon.

      GS7940: SYD to TSN via CGO. Sat & Tue.
