    you can get the similar E1081T for $1 when you buy a $40 recharge from HN, half the cost to unlock

    Good post, but Coles will not sell Optus or Vodafone locked mobiles in Tasmania, only Telstra phones. Coles do this, I was told, because only Telstra has decent coverage here.

    I forgot to mention that for a mere $17, you can get an UNLOCKED Alcatel OT-108 at Harvey Norman, on special until 16 January. It's pretty basic but it does have an FM radio with RDS, and a fake call facility too.

      Bought one for my dad to use, a really basic phone for people to call/text. The staff at HN even said it's probably gonna last for a week or so >.<
