PUMP20

Hey everyone, this is my first time posting :-)
This is a deal I found on eBay Amaysim store. Looks like the starter kits are at 50% discount. Then you can add the "PUMP20" code or any other eBay code to get further discount.

I just purchased 2x $30 starter kits (normally $60 if purchased on their website) for $24. And it says more than 10 available. Standard postage is free.

I have confirmed with Amaysim (online chat) that the ebay sim starter pack is in fact genuine, and that phone number can be ported after the sim is purchased.

Don't forget that they will start the activation from purchase date rather than when you activate it.

    • Seriously? That's a bit of a joke, so you need that 50% discount to cover the time it’ll take for the sim to get to you

You can get around waiting for the sim to arrive in the post by purchasing a $2 sim in woolies/coles for example, then activating the new sim on your account via amaysim live chat.

But yes, pretty ordinary system they have. I suspect if you complained via live chat that you lost some days waiting for the sim to arrive they would do some sort of credit or extend your plan at no cost as an act of "good will".

        • Crazy, appreciate the update. I was all for this product until I found that out. Especially when you read

"As a guide these are generally 4-8 business days handling time, and 2-7 days shipping time."

Actually these are just the starter packs themselves being supplied by amaysim ebay so there shouldn't be any problem.

The issues are more when you order directly from the amaysim website and have to create an account at the same time.

        • @tranter: They will add credit for days missed if you complain, but only toward the renewal cost for the next month. Not much good if you wanted to cancel after a month.

New to these SIM starter kit and porting numbers. Can you please elaborate on " they will start the activation from purchase date rather than when you activate it."

I thought the SIM is only activated when I activate it online and port my number? So do these SIM cards have expiry dates? If so how do I know what the expiry date is?

    • +1

No company will activate sim without getting ur id so dont give stuffed up people pls lol

    • yes very sneaky practice.

    • +2

NO, here it's just a sim. Just like you buy a $30/$40 sims from Coles you are buying it from eBay store. Once you receive your sim, then you have 1 year to activate it. You can still use the referral link to activate and get referral credit.

  • What is the expiration date by which this pack must be used? I would like to buy it for my father who will visit from overseas in June.

  • We can't have referral bonus anymore by using this offer?

    • +1

You can do it while activating. Just use referral link to go to Amaysim website and activate. If you dont receive credit automatically, you can contact Amaysim live chat and provide the referral link you used, they will add the referral credit to your account ( both parties should contact separately). I did this a few times.

Meh - What's the deal here? There's several sellers on ebay selling the $30 kits for $10 …

    • +2

Unlimited calls and text, 1GB of data for $4?

      • +1

kogan still has unlimited calls and text, 23GB of data for $7.90 also.

        • Yes fair enough but that's with Vodafone.

        • Vodafone network not good in all area i guess better to go with optus lol

        • +1

And if you were buying this, say for a parent/grandparent, I'd assume they'd definitely use less than 1GB of data, so that's still $3.90 more expensive.

        • Oh cheers, thought they expired this deal but it's just hidden.

  • Great deal thanks for it

  • +1

You might as well just get the kogan 23gb for $8.

    Optus coverage isn't that great

Optus is better than Vodafone ( at least in Melbourne west suburbs).

      • +1

Very true vodafone is very bad nightmare n optus is someting nightmare lol 😂😂😂 no much deal give by telstra so stay with optus 🤬

      • agree. I'm with vodafone now, and costs heaps more than amaysim. and have much worse reception in the Melb suburbs. I find myself using friends phones (on optus or telstra)… just embarrassing.

  • Is Amaysim the cheapest provider for overseas calls to USA? Not worried about Data and such just international calls.

    • Try Lebara?

  • what good on offer now for visitor?
I'll be having 7 family members visiting Australia & Tasmania for 3 weeks
they are all in need for mainly data on their mobile phone. a bonus if that is include a telp call
mainly use for navigation, browsing, Whats app call, weechat etc.
    appreciate any suggestion

    • For their navigation use one of the many free nav apps & free maps available for Android on playstore.
They work just like a dedicated nav machine with voice guidance etc. These do not need data on to operate.

  • Is it amaysim that lets you enter upto 5 x digits of a new mobile number and gives you options including those digits
or is it Yomojo .. ??

  • Dumb question, so I am interested in purchasing the $10 unlimted 1 GB plan / 28days. So once the 28 days is over does the plan continue or does it stop?

    • I think normally the default setting is auto-renew but you can turn off auto-renew in settings.

    • However you want it. It will end if you don't select auto renew or you can setup auto payment and it will just continue.

  • Avoid. Amaysim post paid will find ways to charge you extra money you never knew was possible. Also PITA to cancel their service. YMMV I guess, but I'm never using Amaysim again.

    • We have 2 post paid accts with Amaysim .. had for a couple of years now… never any such problem.. billing is spot on.

How about this plan guys? I too am looking for a cheap plan with net

    • That is only for the 1st months.. after that $30 mth.
