Saw at the local Officeworks advertising Western Digital Elements 1TB external HDD for $74. AFAIK its cheaper than the cheapest retailer on Staticice ($78).
Hope this helps! Happy New Year! :)

Yup it will be 3.5"
The USB 3 version was only a little bit more.
I'd pay $99 for a USB 3.0 version.
That said this isn't so much of a deal anymore after that massive bargain with the 2TB $99 drives at Harvey Norman.
Actually the HN 2tb for $99 was USB 2.0 only. USB 3.0 is alot more expensive for the same size.
Does it make any difference when plug in USB 3.0 external hdd to USB 2.0 port on laptop?
I was comparing it with the WDAU1000BK, which is USB 2.0. I'm not talking about USB 3.0 ones.
Performance — no difference. You'll still get USB 2.0 speeds. If you want that to change then get yourself a USB 3.0 Superspeed PCI ExpressCard adapter for your laptop.
might aswell get a 2tb.
I'd much rather pay $25 more for double the storage.
Not a deal at all!!!
delete plz
it might not be the best deal, but before Christmas anything under 80bucks for a 1TB is pretty rare. Now, its half decent because there are still places selling at a higher price (e.g. DSE still at 89 bucks)
If you are not fixated on brands, you can pick up a Seagate 1tb usb 2.0 for around $55 @ Centrecom. Also, OW will price match and give you 5% off so long Centrecom has them in stock.
Seagate sucks, bought one recently and just clicks only 2 weeks after!
This is normal price nothing special.
They have the 2TB model for $128 too.
Offer only valid till the 16th of Jan if anyone was interested in knowing
Looks like a 3.5"?
