Why do you Charge people with disability such high prices

    • +1

Because cost to manufacturer doesn't get magically cheaper just because it's for the disabled.
      China don't give a dam.

      • Your the perfect customer always believing the companies don't mark up greatly for certain types

Mate, all medical grade equipment is expensive.

This isn't some chair from Ikea or some cheap Chinese import. It's built for a specific purpose, and if it fails people fall and break bones. Its also common knowledge that a fall like that can cause complications where the frail actually die!

I've just recently had to source mobility items for an elderly relative. None of the stuff is cheap- but its worth every penny, even to my frugal OzBargain blood.

      • +1

My bro had to use one of these when he was in hospital after an accident. This thing is over engineered for a reason.

As you said. You don't want this thing to fail and someone suffer a fall breaking say a hip.

        • Over engineered and then some. 185kg user weight limit and holds them at weird angles as they get up and down from a chair below.

  • Just what i was looking!!

    • me too.

Extra 10% Discount on the Sara Steady Able Assist
    Coupon Code: SPRINGSALE10
    RRP: $1599
    NOW: $1439 + Free Shipping

Before and after this sale, is the RRP of $1599 your normal price? Otherwise any mentioned saving is misleading.

Also, if RRP is the normal price, and your current price is 10% less than RRP, how does this equate to an "Extra 10% discount" when there is no discount to start with?

  • This is a good price for unfortunately very overpriced equipment in the industry.

  • How much for adjustable legs? Any coupon codes for the enhanced version?

    • Yes Jackal, it is also 10% off for the adjustable leg version.
Just select it from the drop down section in the link.

    I just use a wheelbarrow

Very useful piece of equipment that hospitals use all the time. Didn't know it was so expensive though.

    • +1

exactly, everything is so expensive. For example, an engine hoist from supercheap Auto is $200 retail. A patient hoist is costing $3000-4000, the main different is just the electrical motor but they work the same. I am from the medical field and I always feel bad for the patient who gets ripped off. An patient air mattress costs $3000-7000.
