    Who needs their shins anyway?

Do you wanna be cool or not? Geez

73% off because you only get 73% worth of jeans

  • For the hipster bikie

  • +2

The irony is probably lost on the buyers of this jeans

  • Advertised as 'shorts' on website.
Also, looking at store T&Cs, seems like this store hasn't heard of Australian Consumer Law…

Bad product. If you’re going to put Kevlar for protection on motorcycle jeans, said jeans should actually protect you properly.

If you want to look like a hipster pirate, get a boat, not a bike.

fashion for the skin you're in

stupid product and kevlar woven/lined full length jeans should be the bare minimum for riding on AU roads.

they do not protect from impact and having come off in draggins the slide isn't the issue, it was the heat generated from me sliding down the road that gave me some nice lifetime burn marks.

again, a fashion product doesnt have to meet safety standards if you ride a bike but safety gear does.

  • tested to the highest standards but no mention or evidence of such standards….. suuuureeee

I acknowledge the lack of independent quality tested evidence of the kevlar in these jeans, however can see the plus side being that if you were to be going to the shops or to a friends place, some riders may just ride in shorts or normal jeans, thus this might be a better option.

OP @Lifafa - More information about your post in response to the comments would be appreciated here.

At the end of the day… A ride is a ride

      • +2

        Agree.
Suit up or don’t bother starting the bike.
Not worth the risk with the amount of idiots on the road.

  • Good if you would like your legs to be worn down to stumps if you come off on the freeway. Then these 'shorts' will become 'long pants' and cover your entire legs..

    Is my math really bad?

Your site has it clearly marked at $149.99 (i think you make the shorts as well).
    They are now $49.99

    73% off $149.00 is $40.50.

How do I get them for $40.50? Is there a coupon?

    • +1

You are correct…. its 67% off. Their math is what is really bad.

      • +2

        mathS, mathS, mathS

        • "One could argue maths is better because mathematics ends in s, and one could argue math is better because mathematics is just a mass noun that happens to end in s" so either is acceptable as long as maths does not have a capitial S at the end :-P

          It’s simple:
          Math is American
Math’s is British (which we use)

        • @wfdTamar: There is no apostrophe in maths.

        • I’m rubbish at apostrophe rules, but are you sure?

          https://www.theoatmeal.com/comics/apostrophe

Isn’t math’s a contraction of mathematics, so has the apostrophe?

  • I was expecting more replies regarding the cut of this pair of jeans. I therefore conclude we got lots of hipsters here in OZB who love exposing their posterior shins in public.

  • Ozbargainers absolutely love throwing the word hipster around. Couple these with boots and where's the issue

    • Was thinking the same thing.
Coupled with long boots, not ankle boots, and i think there is sufficient protection for a low speed crash.
Of course, nothing is as good as proper bike gear but this is a better option than standard shorts.

  • Completely agree this is a ridiculous product. With that said, I'm very happy with my Lifafa Kevlar Hoodie.

  • Offer free shipping and we might have a deal
