been this for donks, got this set in December for the same price.

    • +3

According to Price Hipster it only dropped two days ago.

      • Obviously wrong as there were deals posted for $17.98 during the time that pricehipster shows $19

    • +2

In fairness to No Cure, it appears it was previously $19 until Wednesday (according to Price Hipster). Not a deal to make me jump up and down to go get, but there is a discount there.

    • +1

      can confirm..
bought this in store about 3-4 weeks ago at same price. =)

    • I think you meant to say yonks (British slang for "a long time"). A donk is Australian slang for a car engine.

      • Donks = Donkeys = Donkeys years. I'm a pom from the South West so maybe it's pretty region specific, but it's not incorrect :)

  • +4

had this set for years now, used everyday and all parts still going strong, great for handyman/domestic use.

  • Hate these screwdrivers. The sizes are all messed up.

But still, if you need some screwdrivers these will do fine

    • +4

Agree, larger sizes are fine however smaller ones are sh!t.

      • +3

The smallest ones in my set were all bent. Don't let the Stanley brand name influence you. They are just an el cheapo screwdriver set in a crappy case. I regret buying mine.

        • +2

Buy the acrylite handle ones (clear) never had an issue with them.

  • +12

This case is the worse piece of trash I have ever owned.

    Screwdrivers are fine.

But that case should be shot into the sun.

    • +1

Its easy to forget how important a good case is for screwdrivers. Spend more money, get a better case.

    • +1

I own this set. The case alone is reason enough to NOT buy. Doesn't hold the screwdrivers in properly and then opens up at the most inconvenient times. I ended up putting mine in a plastic bucket but then what do you do with all the tips

    • the number of times I've been stabbed or cut because of the screwdrivers sticking out of that case…

buy a box and chuck all the screwdrivers in there. then proceed to smash the case to bits with a hammer

  • +2
    • Screwdrivers are good, do the job.

    • Case is shit, they don't stay in their location, opening and closing case nearly always leads to screw drivers falling out.

    • The numbering indicating the sizes of the heads wear off pretty fast.

    • The little bits are showing signs of rusting in about a year of owning them.

  • +9

If you miss out on this - It will probably be back in about 2 months….and the thing that holds them will still be garbage.

  • +9

I assumed every ozbargain member has bought these already

    • +2

Correct, anyone who hasn't already bought one should immediately hand in the OZB membership, pending the outcome of a disciplinary hearing.

      • Of which you can attend the hearing with the still unused first ride Uber voucher

        • +1

and be sure to bring along my carton of sealed eneloops!

A bargain is a good item at cheap price, not a cheap item at its right price.

  • I picked these up last time, good value for what you get

  • Ok pickup tools , spanner 50% off from super cheap mentone C&C, then 100m to bunnings for screwdrivers …. all I need is an aldi special, they are also 100m from bunnings and supercheap in the same shopping complex.

  • Been around this price for ages. These are becoming like the regular $350 for Bose headphone deals, very regular and not much of a surprise.

  • I took her to the coast cause I wanted to…..

    • Drive

    • Tequila! Great now I have that stuck in my head.

      • Haha. How was you're tequila weekend?

        • Arggghh it’s back! T-T-T Tequilla. Cheers, OneMoreTune!

These are a lot better for an extra 13 dollarydoos

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/stanley-20-piece-screwdriver-set…

    • That's the set I own. Good kit.

    • I'd also recommend the set esty linked.

I have the ones from this deal and they SUCK! The screwdriver tips started shaving off the first time I used em lol. Would probably gift them to a 12yo kid learning how to do small projects or something.

But for the real men, don't buy this.

    • Yep this is what I bought instead

  • +2

    Is there a left-hand version :/

  • -3

Tools for pensioners and desperate housewives.

  • good little kit even for $19. Ive bought it to compliment my other tools to do smaller light duty electronics stuff. The socket set is nice touch also.

  • +1

Great! Needed some new drifts, punches and chisels :)

  • Am I the only one here who hates these? The larger ones are fine, though I find the shape of the handle a little painful for high torque moments, and the little ones are just trash.

The only set you will need in your life…

    • Might be true, my dad has had similar looking set for decades.

    • I've bought a few of these in my lifetime, they do wear out/get chipped/lost… Good set though.
