Even better than JB's deal of $399. Big W will have PlayStation VR + Camera + PS VR Worlds for $389 starting this Thursday. Great for those who get Woolies discounts too.

How about resellin the camera?
I put mine on ebay when I got the PS VR from the Gamesmen deal last week. i’ll be happy if it sells for $30-40
@ClaireWarren: I was referring to the camera only. I don’t think you will find a full psvr kit for $30-40
Is this compatible with the original ps4?
Sure, any PS4 model
Probably a stupid question but can you connect this to a PC?
And if you can, is this one of the better VR headsets on the market today?
Yup, but need additional software, SteamVR and no tracking apparently.
AKA not really
This reddit page seems to suggest tracking works?: https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/PSVRHack/co…
Consider me schooled then. From the reviews I read, head-tracking wasn't possible, or possibly the authors were lazy.
Well, looks like head tracking is a lot of effort though.

Thanks for your answers.
Any suggestions for PC users?
Have a look at the WMR (windows mixed reality) headsets on eBay. Lenovo, Dell, HP, acer and Samsung all have versions with different pros and cons but a lot of people have got them for free through laptop promotions so are selling them off brand new. Samsung is the best visually and gets a lot of love but hard to get and will cost you a lot more so I would skip($700-900 range).
You can pickup a Lenovo or dell for $300ish if your patient and they would be my pick. The Acer is a bit cheap build quality wise and the HP too heavy.
The WMR's are better than the psvr although I would happily have both for the exclusives. The WMR's actually have some pros over the vive and oculus rift.
Youtube and Reddit have a lot of reviews that are worth checking out. I got the Lenovo for under $280 and absolutely love it, it is much better than I expected after trying a vive. I only have a GTX 970 with i5 6500 and have been able to play everything so far so don't be scared off by system requirements (that's what had me hesitant for so long). I have also been suprised by how many free games and apps there are to play around with on steamvr and oculus (using a program called 'revive' to access).
Is this thing any good? I know this is a relatively good price but they still seemed overpriced for what it is.
Just asking the question, I am open-minded still.
Give it a try. It makes some people queasy and motion sick. I thought it was cool when I tried it at a friend’s place, but couldn’t see myself buying one, because it’s heavy and clumsy. This second version is tempting though and I’ll reconsider if there’s a good bargain.
It is also said to have he least motion sickness out of all the VR gadgets, and the most comfortable to wear, especially if you wear glasses
Where can you try it?
Try WipEout VR if you can, it's a system seller. Incredible experience and I'd recommend it to anyone!
I tried it yesterday and almost vomited in the first 10 seconds :)
I guess I will eventually get used to it
Bought wipeout yesterday and while the cockpit is cool the tracks don't seem very 3d to me at all? I recalibrated the headset to make sure it wasn't that but idk
Weird, I dunno what to tell you @bloobat. Maybe try another game and come back to it.
The general concensus states that it has one of the best 'sense of place's feelings, and I agree. I feel totally immersed in that world.
Is the the second gen version? What are the differences between this and the first gen?
Not sure what model they're selling but the main upgrades the second gen got are as follows:
Checked at Brisbane CBD BigW, Gen 1 is what they have.
Thanks for letting us know!
Anyone want to buy mine
Used twice $300 delivered
v.2?
Yes
Good price ;)
what does it come with?
the VR headset
Grand turismo VR and Skyrim VR
this stock isnt the V2s is it ?
Wasn't it cheaper during the black friday deal with JB?
Still need a good deal for the PS4 pro. Wheres the $350 deals? Well and truly mnoths overdue now…
Id wait till other retailers show there hand. Especially for those who don't have motion controllers
Definitely glad I pulled the trigger back during the Chrissy sales.
Strongly recommend Doom VFR. Just make sure you go into the options and turn on joystick movement, game is a proper drag and v uncomfortable otherwise IMO.
I still can’t beleive Xbox hasn’t done this. It’s flippin amazballs. I’m not sure why anyone would not pull the trigger if affordability isn’t a concern.
Am I right in assuming that this bundle doesn’t come with the move controllers?
Yep, will need to buy the move controllers seperatly
Based on the pic on the JB site, would you say that their bundle has them included? If I need to buy the controllers separately, I’d rather pay $10 more from them… https://www.jbhifi.com.au/features/games/playstation-vr/
Thats just a promo pic, no bundles have the move included atm
How important are the Move controllers - are there many games that don't require them, or pretty much mandatory?
To answer my own question, according to Reddit they are pretty much mandatory, unless you plan on using racing car games only..

Sorry, but can anyone confirm if this is the 2nd Gen Version please?
Checked at Brisbane CBD BigW, Gen 1 is what they have.
Looks to be unavailable online… so instore only!
Finally available

Price matched at JB to get Gen2.
I got one and on the box it has CUH-ZVR2, this would be version 2 right? I don’t want to open if it’s gen 1 as I have already I just upgraded for the HDR passthrough
Yes, Thats Gen2, I guess it all depends what stock they have on the shelf. Brisbane CBD is CUH-ZVR1.
However, just take BIGW website to price match elsewhere if they only got Gen1 at Big.
thanks for the confirmation :)

This one is a far better deal but the stock goes quick so keep an eye on it! Mine arrived today and its V2 stock.
Does anyone know if it's possible to get any deals without the camera? I already have a PS4 camera so don't need another one but interested to try out the VR headset
