After the recent JB deal where these were bought for $269.40, would anyone feel happy to buy them for $355.40? I personally wouldn't. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/369569

Agreed, may be the cheapest price now, but knowing it went for the $269.40, you would hold off if you're not in a hurry, that was a good bargain!

      • +2

Actually if it is QC 35. someone will buy it.

        • Because Bose.

      • Indeed it was. And it wasn't even one of those flash sales were it was gone in a short period of time or something as the deal was active for a while. And soon after there was a similar deal from JB that someone else posted as well. That tells me another model is about to come out, and there will definitely be about some great deals of these headphones in the near future.

        • I’d be surprised if there was an XM2 successor already. They only arrived in around October last year. If there’s a soon to be released revision it’ll surely be minor.

    • Yeah, I'm hodling my $269.40 till next sale, may be in June?

    • Bought some for $351 a few days before the JB Hifi sale and while I'm still salty about it, they are great headphones regardless.

This doesn't have usb c. would piss me off carrying around so many different cables in the future.

    • In the future there will be no cables!

      • +1

In the future the robots will hold our cables… Or will we hold theirs?

    • +1

Why would you want type C when there's type a everywhere?

      • +1

Because my phone and every phone in the future is going usb c. my go pro is usb c. So other than my lightning cable, all I want to take with me is a 2 metre long usb c to usb a cable.

USB a for desktop PC makes sense because they're big and theres no benefits of small ports like usb c but for small portable electronics like this, it absolutely makes sense.

        • You use a single cable to charge multiple devices? That's awkward

    • Lol "so many". You mean two.

Well when I go on a trip away, I use a mini B cable for my dedicated GPS and a USB3 Micro B for my portable HDD. Should I be needing anymore? Four isn't enough, add one more legacy micro USB to the mix!

        • +1

I stick a micro USB to USB C adapter on my cable then i have easy access to both.

  • If you work for a large company, you should get discount with Sony.

    • This has nothing to do with who you work for. The Sony X program is invitation only and these prices aren't available to the general public.

      • How do you create such an account? thanks

      • That's not Sony X in the screenshot. Spc12go works for a company who is a Sony Partner.

  • Its not X program. It is Sony corporate program.

    • +1

      Where does it say that?

  • Where does ir say x? Its an account I created via work email address. So I know

    • How do you create such an account? thanks

      • Its part of our employee benefit program where you register with your work email address. It was on our corporate intranet.

    • Because it was previously reported on here that Sony X members can buy these headphones for $300.

      • Sony x and Sony Partner program are similar but not the same.
