Call up a store near me, sales rep says he have one in stock and he'll reserve it for me and put it at the counter (great customer services). Hop into my car and drive for 15 mins, got to the store call out the rep's name and speak to him but then he said that he cannot sell for the price as advertised on the website because when he do the checkout it's still $449 on his store's system, straight away I call for the manager, manager come up and we shake hand and he was aware of the situation but he didn't know what is going on in regards to the price on the website and the price that is on the store's system, and I told him that is very misleading of JB HIFI if that is the case and again he reiterate he doesn't know what is going on with the price but he will HONOR the price (TBH I don't care about the mismatch price on their system and their website I just happy that they honor it). So at the end I got the Sony 1000XM2 for $269.40 and was quite happy, special thanks to the sales rep and the manager; they are both very cool and helpful.

@harkoliar: I had on or before the 24th, but it said that it was an unverified manually entered address that I was trying to ship to (from my account). When I entered my address again and selected it from the dropdown, it changed back to the 17th.

Got mine. Bought in store. I don't think it's a price error, or if it is it's only a small one (~$30) in that rather than deducting 40% off the RRP of $499, they've instead deducted 40% off the current price $449. The sales emails are pretty clear about the sale being 40% off Sony Headphones.

If it's a pricing error they will just weasel their way out of it. If it's below their cost price, don't count on them honoring it. Costco did offer it at a similar price recently though so it might be legitimate…
Either way a good price, almost as good as the QC35s on eBay for $250 last year.
Don't think it was a price error as a lot of people got their, including me. Maybe their systems allowed more sales then the actual stock they had so they had to cancelled some.

I saw a similar behavior a few months back with the Chrome-cast Ultra sold at $55 and the link was pulled when it was deemed to be a price error. Many managed to get one instore thou, but unsure how this will play out given its online and they could just cancel the orders.

They apparently scanned at the normal price but the manager checked the website and was like "Oh, okay, no worries," to the $269 price. It might be a price error; who knows? It's a shame the shops are shut tomorrow but if you got your online order cancelled, try your luck and go in-store on Saturday!

Apparently it was an issue with verifiying the card yet it was charged and still cancelled. I tried with another card and it worked.

Not a price error. My order was confirmed an hour ago. I ordered like 2 hours after the deal was started so everyone should be fine.
Interesting how these and the yamaha headphones are listed so closley to each other and both popular.yet no one has asked about compating them? I understand that people are comparing both to the qc35 and this while having NC sounds like it's got better sound reproduction, which is what everyome said about the yamaha set also.

Me too…but I think this will not be the last deal for this model. Tested them at JB Hifi in the airport and I was not really impressed with the sound quality. The ANC was great though. Only wanted to buy these for travel use.

Got last one (gold) from jb in parramatta (outside Westfield), went into Westfield and they had one black one (box damaged) and one gold one left. Ended up going down to Sony kiosk and they price matched a black one with JB Hi-Fi for me with no questions asked! Couldn’t get the extra 5% newsletter discount though.
I will be returning the gold ones back to jb parramatta later today. If anyone hasn’t had luck and wants to “meet up” as I return them they can buy - pm me and we can sort something out.

I gave them to her as the rep advised me that there are 4 gold ones left in the CBD and I preferred that colour.
