Melbourne to Athens $359 or Melbourne to Berlin $379 One Way via Scoot

130

Surprised that nobody has posted this given that banner ads are showing for me in OZB for this. Athens for $359 (without luggage) from Melbourne one way seems like a great deal.

Sample fares:

Melbourne to Athens - $359
Melbourne to Berlin - $379

Fares available from Sydney, Perth, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Sydney. I tried some sample dates in Nov and could get a $725 return from Melbourne to Athens…

Economy class long haul is bad enough, I can't begin to fathom what sitting on Scoot for a similar duration would be like…

      They only have 787 Dreamliners
      Not bad to be honest
Also being carbon fiber the cabin humidity is higher so you feel less crap on the other end

      • +1

The difference is they cram in at least 3 more rows in the economy cabins than a full service carrier such as Thai (19 & 14 vs 16 & 13).

Surprised that nobody has posted this…$359 (without luggage)

It was posted last month. The problem is bags cost you another $212 (so $930 total). Then you add on meals and seat selection and it gets pricey.

Looking at November. You can get a Singapore Airlines flight for $873 that does fly some sectors with Scoot but at least you won't have to pay extra for bags, meals, and seats.

  • When I checked baggage was only 109 one way

Looks like $62 for each sector. So, $248 return.
