That’s the crapiest reason to neg, I’m upvoting to spite you even though I’ve seen it cheaper around Boxing Day sales lol
How about you share some of these Teflon risks instead of just negging and telling others to research it themselves.
It's all to do with PFAS. If the US EPA has identified a cancer causing chemical used in the production of Teflon, along with 95% of Americans have some detecable level of teflon in their blood & 226 scientists/professionals (from over 40 countries) have signed the following petittion http://greensciencepolicy.org/madrid-statement/ then I think it sounds a prudent course of action to consider alternatives. Cast iron is also superb to cook with.
If you are cooking at temperatures over 340 degrees

Ding ding, winner here.
I would suggest that any FREE RANGE CHEMICAL FREE ORGANIC FOOD "cooked" at 340 degrees would be an order of magnitude more carcinogenic than a waft of gas released from PTFE.
So I receieve a down tick for provided said information, which is accurate. Sure!
The cancer council website linked also states
"Very little research has investigated the effect of PFOA on human cancer risk"
I have seen many frying pans still actively used that are peeling away. Can be from actual ingestion.
this is a great set of frypans - top quality
Negging because of what this guy did to the Autobots
I find that teflon pans lose their magic within a year or two unless you really look after them.
The expensive ones do last longer but I still find that a system of having a cheap one that replaced every 12-18 months works better.
Having said that, $100 for a quality set of three is cheap as hell, hit buy now.
Good deal OP.
Which ones would you recommend?
The longest lasting nonsticks in our home was a circulon (some old range, dont know the name) and Tramontina Professional. The cheap tefal ones barely last 5 months.
before you buy this, please do your research about Teflon. stick to cast iron or stainless steel cooking if you value your health.
