    Any E14 for sale?

  • +3

I bought four of these last year. They all died within a month. I got tired of soldering bridges across dead LEDs and just tossed them. They've got no heat dissipation, they just kill themselves.

    • Yes. These "corn" LEDs don't last, and the low prices of branded LEDs makes them not worth it. Get a Phillips one on special - at least it will last.

      • I bought one of these e14 LED lights for my bed side light AU$1.72 delivered

not super bright at 9watts but good enough to read by. 6 months on and still going

        • It has been hit-and-miss for me. I have had some that lasted 'okay' (e.g. using a small low-wattage one as garage light, working great after 5 years), and some that died in a month. All-in-all, at least 50% of corn bulbs I bought died within a few months. That is too high a risk. Especially given that you cannot know whether their failure could spark a fire.

  • Without diffuser, I'd think the LEDs would be too bright?

  • 1650 lumens is pretty bright, assuming it's not an exaggerated figure. I think if it's a room that you don't use too often, this is decent value.

      Of course it's chinese lumens.

OP if you paid $4 each you would have been better off getting these twin packs from Bunnings.

    • They are cheap but i need these type, small and long, these round heads dont fit, i bought the long philips from bunnings and they are amazing but $9.99 a pop :(
