Many of us will be looking forward to buy from aliexpress but they don’t offer “PayPal” as an option

    • +5

Apart from that, the customer service is horrendous. To rectify a problem it can take months.

      • +5

all of mine take 5min and no more than a week. As long as you provide evidences also for missing or non shipped items.. has taken no more than a week and refunds take 3 days once processed.

But then again i'm at vip level 4 with the amount of non essentials i've purchased thanks to the ozbargain intro

        • what's the best payment method for AliExpress, bankcard (Visa/Mastercard) or Bank Transfer ? any advice ?
          Thanks

        • @koolchamp81:

          To be honest.. AmEx.

More points, no international transaction fee, plus AmEx have their own investigation unit.. regardless, all payments go through AliPay which is they equivalent of PayPal even if you dont have an account.

It is no different to purchasing with direct credit card through ebay, it is still processed through PayPal

      • I've had some (profanity) send a package to the wrong address and it's been delivered.

Aliexpress keep asking me to contact auspost, who won't talk to me about a package that wasn't addressed to me obviously. Looks like aliexpress are going to close the case.

The seller went as far as to send me a falsified shipping label they did up in MS paint, with the wrong barcode. When the barcode is scanned it gives the wrong shipping number.

Aliexpress are still going to side with them from the look if it. I'll have to issue a chargeback.

  • There is another seller with same socks for $1.27 already.

    • +1

unfortunately that seller only has limited colours. or random colours.

  • +5

Be aware most of the sale prices are actually more than what you can pick the item up for on any given day.

I don't remember the names, but there are chrome/ff plugins that show historic prices on aliexpress. Check them before making a purchase because of some "once in a lifetime" discount

  • Thanks OP.

  • Xiaomi a1 32/64gb and xiaomi redmi note 5 32/64gb are well priced in the sale. Prices range from 175 to 200 usd delivered.

    • I would buy from catch.com.au when they have 10% off sale & I can get cash back too

      • catch doesn’t have the newly released RedMi note 5

        • It was for MiA1

  • Thanks OP!

    • I had a look at a phone case and it's around 54% off. Pretty good deal.

    • It's variable. Some things are cheaper some things are normal priced.

    • +1

I always seem to have issues applying coupons. Any tips?
I normally use the phone app. Maybe I should try doing this on my laptop.

      • Never tried but seems to say for select products

I have these headphones. My advice, and the advice from non-fake reviewers (on Amazon) is that they are very good, as long as you don't use the noise reduction.

The NR feature is bad compared to others I've used - it does little to reduce background noise. When NR is turned on the audio quality sounds bad, like you are under water.

    • Mine have also gotten quite loose over the course of a couple of months (in terms of how the earpieces move).

For the price, though, they're pretty solid. Good battery life, not a lot of delay, decent sound.

    • On them is that actual metal? Or is it just painted plastic? I have a big head, headphones break because they get stretched too much. I am hoping metal would be more durable.

Anyone have any of the QCY BT earphones? I know it's apples vs oranges but sound quality wise, which is better, the headphones in the OP or QCY QY8 for instance?

  • +1

Can I expect further store coupons / site coupons on the sale day? (Sorry, AliExpress n00b here)

  • What would be the preferred payment methods to avoid international transaction fee?

  • How large is the ear piece? Asking for a mate with big sensitive ears…

    • Not 100% sure but the photo looks like on-ears, not over-ears. I doubt my ears would fit inside the pads.

I don't like on-ears. The seal is bad, so you won't get good noise reduction.

  • Any suggestions for wireless earphones preferably sweat proof..

  • Should I use the conversion rate on Ali or take the international transaction fee by commbank?

How long will the items stay in my cart? Loaded up with the T4S headphones and 3 pairs of socks.

  • +1

They are decent bluetooth headphones for that bash and crash lifestyle.

  • +4

Looks like they've bumped the prices quite a bit - I have a few items in my card and even after the sale they will be more expensive than before. Dodgy as :)

    • +2

And they keep going up the closer it gets to the sale, a few items in my cart have nearly doubled even after the discount…so dodgy

  • +2

I think this is the most ridiculous sale i have ever seen. If the normal price of the item is $25, its changed to $50. Now the seller knows no one gonna buy it for that price and they dont want to lose business till sale day (when its supposed to be a around 50% sale) so they have made it, say, 40%~ off to bring it to 25 or 26 and saying it will be 41% off on March 28 bringing price to $24.06. Huge discount.

  • +4

Most of them are price jacked and after the so called huge discount its back to original price or worse expensive.

Does anyone have any info on the new Bluedio T5? It's US$38 during the sale, which is $10 more.
    https://tinyurl.com/yaccfk99

    • Also curious to know. Compared to the T4s, apart from the design, I noticed that Battery is claimed to be longer (Up to 25 hours of T5 vs 16 hours of T4s). Also the store has $2 coupon for orders over $35, so you are able to get it for $36. Some older models had audio lag issues (which was resolved in the T4s), but I still might wait for more reviews.

      • Bought one before you had mentioned the coupon. Should I pull a cancel and order?
Will report back when I have it

        • Should I pull a cancel and order?

Just hope it doesn't sell out lol. Anyways messaged seller, got this response:

T5 is upgrade from T4S, the sounds quality and ANC funtion is better than T4S. and it wear more comfortable

        • +1

@lyl: Yeah I canceled and reordered, all good. There seems to be plenty of stock left (400+ for each color).

I would happily pay $10 more for better ANC headphone that covers your ears. The T5 version has a bigger diameter compared to T4S so hopefully it doesn't drop when you lean forward.

    • Looks like they just came out, can't find any reviews.

Might be worth the risk, Bluedio have a good reputation.

  • Not good. Most of the price jacked up and after applying the discount to be the same. Most of the items in my carts are the same even after the discount.

  • what's the best payment method for AliExpress, bankcard (Visa/Mastercard) or Bank Transfer ? any experience ?…
    Thanks

  • You probably want a card without overseas transaction fees (eg 28 degrees). I used my bank issued amex.

  • Ordered one T5 and it seems to be shipped now. Let's see how it turns out.

    • Just got my T5. Have you gotten your?
