Obviously it's not really delicious like hot chocolate or coke, but for whiskey… brilliant!
Like kissing the back of a fireplace… Buy one of their more upmarket labels (eg. quarter cask) instead. Costs more - but you'll thank me later.
Quarter Cask is easily in my top few single malts, and probably my favourite Laphroaig, but the 10 is still very good.
Currently have the following Laphroaigs: PX Cask, An Cuan Mor, Select Cask, Quarter Cask. Each have their place. But simple low age statements are good to have around - the edge can actually be refreshing (especially after a few drams or simply by way of comparison to other Islay/Island single malts).
Sympathetic to that line - but I think that Laphroaig 10 should only be dispensed by a Chemist - as an antiseptic throat gargle.
