          I’ve tired to chat with them a few times online and they’re adamant on sticking with the current plans. Might have to wait it out sadly.

        • @nway91: I called them up and grabbed 10% off per month for 24 months. Actually i signed up for $120 plan + $20 handset and this offer came after 3 weeks.

        • @mawdsley: yes, my plan had $20 handset fee which i negotiated to $0 but it was removed anyway during the offer so called them that whats the point of negotiating if it is now removed. so they offered extra 10% ($12) off per month for plan.

  • Did anyone try to cancel their 24month contract within 30days after signing up then sign up again to get the better deal? Is that possible? To cancel due to network issues then recontract mainly for the offer. Signed up instore then plan to sign up online once first contract is cancelled

    • They won't let you sign up if you cancel due to network issue, from their point of view, "becasue they are same network and you will have same issue again!" Better to chat with retention team or disconnetion team to match the offer.

  • Got the phone and started to use, but just this week I found that the data for the first month of the $120 deal is 100GB, NOT 200GB!

    Online chat with Optus to be informed that, yes, "Double Data" is from the second mth onwards, not including the first month :(
    And it is same for other current "double data" deals, even on the website it clearly states "100GB +100GB for 24 months", as the !

    Is it a false advertisement? Any guys also disappointed?

    • I had the same problem as you did! After contacting the online chat a few times a manger cleared it up for me. She said that with this plan you can use the full 200GB without being charged from the first month, however only after the second month will the full 200GB be shown in your avaliable data. However you should probably try to verify with a representative/ save the chat just in case.

        But I have to fight again on the charge, they told me that my deal is $140/month.

  • What a horrible experience with Optus!
    Waited for 20 days, and wasted quite a few hours to call& wait optus 1300 number, before I got the phone delivered.

    Then just find the CIS(Critical Information Summary) is wrong! Being charged $140 not $120 for the 200Gb :(
