  • What are these like?
    More cosmetic than practical.

I know the Microsoft ones are like $100

I recently got a few of these as a giveaway. Didn't think they'd be any good but after chucking 2 x AAAs in I was surprised at how well they worked… and that was in an office environment with heaps of other Wireless devices very closeby. Absolute Plug & Play and began working with Win10 within seconds of inserting the USB receiver. The fold-out 'tail' also acts as the power switch so as long as you fold it up after use the batteries wont drain and should last for ages.

The one issue I had with them was that the silver part underneath is that rubberised paint stuff and it was already starting to feel a bit tacky. There are small skids underneath to ensure smooth movement but yeah, the rubberised paint will just get stickier & stickier over time and end up turning gooey rendering the rest of the mouse unusable. Can't say if these Kogan ones have the exact same finish but I can't help think this may be the reason why they're so cheap. Great little mouse otherwise though and who knows, it may take years for the paint to fail completely so it's probably worth the risk.

Purchased one off eBay some time ago - much cheaper than Kogan. Had mine for 6+ years.
They work as intended, fold and store nicely with a magnetic holder for the USB.
It's also fairly ergonomic and comfortable to use!

Offcourse its not going to be built or integrate as well as the Microsoft one.

      • do they actually feel or work any better?

they look a million dollars, but is it all cosmetic?

  • I've had two wireless mice from Reject shop for 3 years now. They are great, $10 each, switch off after inactivity to save batteries. Use them everyday.

Not sure why a mouse needs to foldable, they aren't massive to begin with.

Yep, that'd be them. Identical to the freebies I got (see comment above)

    • Thanks, just bought one through Ali.

  • Consider how few USB ports are equipped on mobile devices now a days, any of these foldable/portable mouses should come with Bluetooth. Like my Surface Pro I'm currently typing on only comes with one standard USB port. I won't be able to use say a USB flash drive simutaneously with this mouse. How inconvenience would that be.

The price is good but I will pass.

  • It looks the same as my beloved (non touch) Microsoft Arc Mouse which finally after years of service has developed a dodgy click button… Maybe I might attempt at fixing it, but bought a Logitech Bluetooth mouse in the mean time. RIP, old friend.
