Surfing
Surfing is a rite of passage for all Australians, so let’s get on a board with OutThere Outdoors. You're first taught the essentials, like understanding surf and how boards work, this ensures everyone has the knowledge to read and handle surf conditions.
Getting upright on a board is the goal, and the patient and experienced instructors constantly provide help, tips and the occasional push so that everyone has the best chance possible of standing on their own two feet.
- Surfing lessons run every day at 10am over the school holidays from the 27/12 to 30/01
- After 30/01 lessons run every weekend until Easter.

Snorkeling
Snorkelling introduces you to another world. Almost everyone is surprised when they discover what’s under the surface along the Victorian coast. Stingrays, Blue Throat Wrasse, Spiky Globe Fish, Horseshoe Leatherjackets are just some of the species you can encounter. With a bit of luck you may even find a Leafy Sea Dragon – shy, but worth looking patiently for.

Kayaking
An understanding of the marine environment and connection with the sea is quickly developed in flat water kayaking. Starting from a sheltered beach, students learn to pilot a two person craft, and then set out on a gently challenging expedition.
Depending on the conditions and the confidence of the group, the expedition can explore the granite quarry of Woolamai, explore Rhyll inlet or circumnavigate Churchill Island.

Bike Riding
An island without traffic lights, with miles of dedicated pathways winding through natural bushland and iconic wildlife and flora, there is nowhere better to ride a bike than on Phillip Island.
