    it is not bargain enough

      Dagnamit, this.

It's tempting but darn it, it's just not cheap enough yet. Those pre-christmas and boxing prices haunt me still.

I usually buy consoles on, or close to launch. Sure I'm spending more but think of those extra precious months of play.

        • There's that, for sure. I bought my XB1 reasonably close to launch, definitely had use of it but not sure if given the time again wouldn't wait just a lil' bit longer. But certainly you make a good point.

  • Tempting but I'll probably pay a little more and stick with the JB HiFi $459 + $39 game deal. Local warranty is easier for me.

    • +3

This is done by Amazon AU. Unless you mean local as you can walk into JB, otherwise it’s the exact same warranty.

      • +1

Yes local as in walking distance for me. Easier with the warranty as in dropping it off at the store and grabbing a new one.

        • Fair enough. But I guess with a company such as Amazon, sending back for warranty wouldn’t be as onerous as other online stores.

    • Amazon AU won’t do local warranty?

    • +2

Its only really worth doing the jb deal if you want to play one of the 4 games they offer for $39. like monopoly + rayman legends. c'mon JB

      • +3

honestly, the only reason i play switch is because of its first-party game, other cross platform games are really not worthy playing on switch

      • Mario and rabbids is actually a great game… But the bundle is cheaper at eb games

Can anyone confirm if Amazon ships AU stocks? Or imported?

    • Bought mine during the Boxing Day sale, pretty sure they are but I haven’t looked at what regional differences are.

      • I guess if it was all sealed, the power cord would tell you.

Right on the edge here, if it was $10 cheaper I'd definitely go in. With Catch and Amazon dropping their prices I feel like others might be following suit soon.

  • Are all other sellers on amazon au scams? There are so many new seller selling the switch for cheaper, even some more expensive. How can amazon now have any filters for these. This is so bad for their rep…

    • Just had a look and the cheapest was for $379. It is quite a bit cheaper, but I wouldn't say significantly to indicate a scam.

As far as I know, they do have a fairly thorough vetting process (I heard from someone else, so it was either that, or they just required a lot of paperwork), but I could be wrong.

      • I guess it’s odd how they are all new sellers just launched with no reviews. I’d imagine theirs would definitely be grey imports.

        • True, I did notice that too. In saying that, I reckon due to their pretty lackluster launch, Amazon would be very mindful about scams so early on, so would have processes in place to handle.

But yes, quite possibly grey import. I was only able to see the list, are you see listings for each individual seller, or is it just the main Amazon listing?

  • I found this for $417 after shipping and signup discount:
