Kogan 27" QHD 1440p MV270QHB-N20 Monitor (14ms Response) $234.99 Delivered from Kogan eBay

PICK5

Got a price alert that Kogan's inhouse QHD monitor just dropped to a historical low price. This is basically the cheapest QHD (2k / 1440p) display you can buy currently — but it has a major caveat.

  • Quad HD 2560 × 1440 resolution
  • 14ms response time ~~~🐌.
  • Big, bright and beautiful screen — well, about as beautiful as a 60hz TN panel can provide.

Ports (1 of each)
DisplayPort
DVI
HDMI

Should you buy it?

If you play games, most likely, probably not, because for $299, you can pick up a ViewSonic VA2719-2K-SMHD 27" WQHD IPS LED Monitor, or a AOC 31.5" (Q3279VWF) FreeSync monitor that has 5ms response times. These prices are from MSY's everyday pricing.

But if you're running a home office, want to multi-task with lots of windows and apps open, and you don't care how fast the response times are (because you're just using Office apps and web browsing) this might still be a decent option.

christ 14ms why do they still make these, perfect for playing chess.

    • Or watching turbo

    • I dunno. I play pretty quick bullet chess.

2k resolution is 2048×1080, which is basically 1080p.

It's not to be confused with QHD.

Can't even watch porn with this delay

    • Show us an actor that can perform faster than 14ms ^_^

      • The Flash! duh….

  • I would never buy a TN panel bigger than 24", it's often very difficult to find a position that doesn't give colour distortion somewhere on the screen, once you get to a monitor that large. Much better just to pay a bit more for IPS and be done with it

  • Thanks for posting.

Noob question - how do you get price alerts for Kogan products?

      PriceHipster

anything that kogan sells on their main site, or Dick Smith site, usually has a mirrored listing on eBay. So if you see something on Kogan, compare to the ebay listing and see if additional coupons apply to get a better price.

      • Awesome, thanks.

  • does anyone own this already? if so, how bright is the lowest brightness setting? I owned a previous kogan monitor and it was way too bright even on the lowest setting and while this one is well priced, dont want the same issue again.
