    This is a really good deal for people in other states too. There are reciprocal rights between the Royal Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth Zoo's, so I assume someone in Melbourne could buy this pass and save $32.75 on the Melbourne FOTZ program…

  • anyone know if this arrives as electronic/emailed voucher? a zoo visit is on the cards b/w xmas & NY, snail mail will prob arrive too late.

    • I have never used cudo but other group buy sites normally give you an electronic voucher. If in doubt, just ring the company up and they should explain it to you.

    • i got this same deal a couple weeks ago from cudo, it comes very quickly as an email voucher and you just take that to the zoo with you.

      • Do they print a photo id card out for you once you present the email voucher to the zoo? Or will you just have to take the email voucher whenever you go?

        • You bring the voucher code and they'll take the ID and print off a card right there. That's what you carry for the next visit.

      • You can buy the 'voucher' for a friend (ie, get the discounted 50% off) but once you take the photo ID and get the card under your name, it's locked to you and no-one else can use it for entry.

    Also how to activate the membership? Can it be done online?
    We're going to Sydney in April, so this will not work if you have to visit the Tarongo Zoo to activate the membership.

    I'm not sure if you can buy this voucher and use it for FOTZ, the cudo deal specifically refers to Taronga Zoo membership. Can anyone confirm?

  • Anyone got phone contact details for Cudo? I had a problem purchasing.

    I just purchased 2x Adult Taronga Zoo passes.

    I tried purchasing 1x Child Taronga Zoo pass, but it gave me a 'Whoops' error, saying to click back and try again.

    I didn't want to try again straight away just in case I double purchased, so I checked 'My Cudos' and it shows I have only the 2x Adult passes.

    I tried the Child pass purchase again and it says that I've already purchased one and do I want to again.

    In my email, I got a Tax Invoice email as well as a Receipt of Purchase email for the 2x Adult Taronga Zoo passes.

    I also got a Receipt of Purchase for a 1x Child Pass, but no Tax Invoice email. I checked 'My Cudos' again and it only shows 2x Adult Passes purchased.

    • I had the same problem with two purchases out of four as well - I was trying to buy one for each family member and ended up with two in doubt with the same 'Whoops' error you describe but then when I go to purchase again I get the warning like you do.
      It doesn't give me a great deal of confidence in the site :(

    I contacted cudo directly for my query.

    For those interested:
    * We can't use this for FOTZ membership program for Melbourne. I know once you have Taronga memberships, you can access Melbourne Zoo, etc, but my question was really whether we can buy this and save 50% for FOTZ membership fee as per "lg" previous comment. The answer is No. This deal is only for Taronga membership.
    * You don't have to live in Sydney to be able to apply for Taronga Zoo membership. But unfortunately you have to go to the zoo to activate the membership, and with this deal, it has to be activated by 31 March 2011.

    So unfortunately this deal will not work for me, as I will only go to Sydney in April 2011.

  • Bought 2. I clicked buy and it said, denied. When I tried again, it said, already purchased, want to purchase again?

    I checked my account and 107 dollars were deducted from my card.

  • Expires in 30 minutes and I'm trying to click the Buy Now link and it always ends up at the "woops" page, ugh.

    EDIT: Finally got it to work and accept my purchase, but sure how Cudo is supposed to work but it send me the invoice for both purchases (I grabbed 2x adult and 1x child passes) but only sent me the payment confirmation for the child pass, not the adult pass. I did notice that when I eventually completed the childs pass it said something along the lines of "yes, this deal is happening!" but didn't give the same message for the adult pass. Is there some sort of purchase threshold which needs to be reached before the deal actually happens, am I likely to end up with one child pass and no adult passes? Kinda confused.

    EDIT2: The FAQ answers my question, yes there is a threshold but no, they don't tell you what it is…kinda sucks that I now have a child pass but with 8 minutes left on the deal probably no adult passes. So will probably find the child pass a waste of money since it's cheaper to buy a family entry ticket for the once-off trip, whereas had I gotten the adult passes would have gone more than once, oh well, live and learn.

    • I received 2 x adult vouchers which I ordered, but surprise surprise they come up with someone else's name printed on the vouchers. I am pretty sure I gave my name, but is it possible that this happened because I used the ozbargain group login username/password put up by the mods?

      What do I do? Is it still valid with someone else's name or do I need to get in touch with customer service for cudo/Tarongo?

      • It's probably because of the group login. I think the only way is contact Cudo. Hope you will get it fixed soon.

        • Thanks. I have written to Cudo. Let's see what they come up with. I haven't seen anywhere it being mentioned that only the person to whom the voucher is addressed can redeem it.

  • I think Cudo has some system issues to sort out, not only is there website terribly unreliable their voucher sending system is slow and prone to errors. On top of that, I have now been billed for one child's pass but haven't received the voucher yet, but I have received my two adult passes and not received the receipt for them.

    Also, I don't know what the big thing is with using a group login (and risking the problems associated with doing so), registering takes literally 5 seconds and big whoop, another online company has your details which they're probably on-selling, unless you are crazy-level paranoid and careful, that is happening every day without your knowledge.

    • Their computer system totally sucks: I purchase a lot of vouchers on all different sites but always have trouble with the cudo site. Tip: always double check what you are charged since they love to double charge your card! I'm also still waiting for 3 of my vouchers. Their customer service is horrendous. They reply to you after about 5-7 emails/contacts. It's hard to believe they're actually part of channel Nine's network of companies.

  • I was able purchase mine just fine using the posted username/password however checking my bank statement it appears I've been charged twice. Once for correct 107.xx for 2 adult tix but also second payment of exactly $100.00.

    Had look at Cudo Contact Us page and only has online form. Any suggestions how contact them via phone as was using generic account mod posted.

      • Thanks for the post. I've contacted them using online form and left vmail on landline number that AMEX was able track down. I presume they just searched government website and looked up their ABN for contact details.

        Am told a very dishonest DAVID NGO is behind a few transactions under group account MODs posted. Hopefuly Cudo manage get in touch with him and sort out what might just be misunderstanding' but at this point, is person of interest.

    • Yup, they just got you to fill in forms at the zoo, took your photo with a webcam for their database, handed over the cards and you're in. I've been twice now.
