  The one on the Vodafone site looks to be preset to activate only on the data combo plan, whereas the op one appears to be the generic starter that can be activated on any $40 plan including the 365 day one.

    Well there are two choices, data combo and talk combo, the latter where you swap some data for minutes. But yes, no 365 day plans. Still, $5 cheaper and available online.
