Stumbled across this whilst checking themepark prices (shame we already booked our car hires)

From the website: For a limited time only when you rent any one of our SUV fleet for 7 days or more you will recieve two (2) 7 Day Holiday Passes to Village Roadshow Theme Parks including unlimited entry to Warner Bros. Movie World, Sea World and Wet'n'Wild Gold Coast for 7 consecutive days. Don't miss out, there are only limited tickets available.

Some notes:

-Must pick up at the Gold Coast Airport (but not sure if it must be returned there)

-Each of the passes are worth $149 retail, though various discounts (~10-20%) may apply getting the passes (e.g. autoclub or entertainment book). Overall the 2 7 day passes are probably worth $250+

-Appears stackable with Auto club memberships (and Blue Chip member).

-7 day car hire rates for the cheapest category that qualify (Mitsubishis ASX or equivalent) appear to start from $218.68, which is less than the cost of the passes. However the timing of your hire could change this estimate.

-Not sure how many tickets remain from their "limited" number

  Just be aware I've hired twice from Thrifty at Gold Coast airport and both times they didn't have a car ready for us despite arriving at our booked time. On the second occasion they made us wait for over an hour with two kids under 4 and didn't offer an apology. I won't touch them.

  I can't get over why it costs about $250 to get a car for 10 days on the Gold Coast, but almost $500 for the same car at Cairns…

  Was almost exactly what I was looking for - 7 days, Gold Coast, SUV. World access.

  But hire must end before 30th June (and I need it in July).

  Rats.
