Named El Sol, Spanish for sun. Sol imported beer has been brewed in Mexico since 1899. This much enjoyed golden lager beer is an easy drinking style.
Most will agree its very similar to Corona's but when can u get a case of coronas for 29.95.

I just went to Tijuana in mexico and this is all they served, hard to find Corona anywhere. It's actually a nice beer

I like watery beer in the summer. Heavy, hoppy beers are too strong and not at all refreshing. Corona with lime is perfect in the summer time when you want a light tasting beer.
I like Corona for that very reason in Summer, or with heavy Mexican food. When I tried Sol it tasted nothing like Corona, yeah it was light alright, but bland! I tried to give away the other 5 in the 6 pack, and one of my mooching buddies wouldn't even take it!!! :(
Does anyone know if either is imported or brewed locally under licence? That could account for any differences! ;)
I think it is infinitely better than Corona, and I feel a little gay saying this, but its nice with a slice of lime in the neck.

I tried Sol for the first time today - it tasted like cardboard. Fortunately I didn't buy it and only had to drink one. I wouldn't buy this if it was $20 a slab.
