Our ADSL modem recently died, and since then we've been using a working but terrible D-Link modem until we either switched to FTTN NBN and had to get a new modem or found a suitable replacement before we switched that didn't suck at either ADSL or VDSL and didn't cost a stupid amount of money (as most seem to do). It usually goes for about $169 upwards, so getting it for under $110 is a good deal. Usually it's about $150 from Wireless1 on eBay.
This Archer VR600 seems to not totally suck at ADSL or VDSL, so that's nice, has gigabit ethernet, AC1600 wireless, external antenna as well as not looking too over the top.
Based on the specs, this is the v2 model, which has support for Annex B which means it should play nicer with NBN FTTN compared to the v1 model. Also has a Broadcom chipset so if you're on a stupid long line and on ADSL (like we are) then it should play nice with that too. You can also use it on FTTP\HFC as a wireless router if you wanted to, but you lose one of the LAN ports as that will serve as the WAN port.

Original PICK5 5% off Sitewide at eBay Deal Post
EDIT: You need to add the item to your cart to get the $112.51, then you can add the PICK5 code as you checkout to get the extra discount.
Additionally, I have just gotten an email from Wireless1 saying that there is no stock currently, and it will be "a few business days delay until we can dispatch your items". They have yet to take the listing down so if you can wait, go ahead and order and they will probably ship out when the new stock arrives.
Just a heads up with TP Link. I had an Archer D9 overheat after 1 year. Their support number doesn't get you anywhere including their email support. Terrible terrible support. No replies to my email example below.
