    Here we go again

Yep and avoid these guys even for $10. Horrible customer service and always offering discounted prices to prop them selves up.

    • +5

Require TIO to reply back to your emails.

      • Look it says "No Setup fee and no Cancelation Fees" and the first month is only $10 for unlimited access. You only need 3 days.

Doesn't it mean something to you?
Amazing deal. Thanks, Buzz Telco for starting the war.

        • +1

Lol wait for these idiots to charge your credit card multiple times and then try get a refund. Then you will see what a great deal this is.

HAVE FUN WITH THE TIO :)

I'd rather poke my eyes out with a rusty fork.

  • +5

no thanks, cheapest but you get what you pay for…..wait…they don't have control over their billing and charge however they want and how much they like. Never setup direct debit with them only prepaid.

  • +3

    Their past is shameful

  • +3

Getting 88Mbps consistently since I signed up. Never had an a single issue whatsoever since the initial startup fiasco. No complaints going forward from here.

      • i honestly dont get this

        • -5

See my comment below, he is getting 88/100 not very successful when you can go with different companies and get much higher average speeds. I really DOUBT this is his peak speed too. Check out my post below.

The ONLY reason you would go with these guys is because of price - and with that expect you will receive a below average experience.

They even state their average speeds are based on USERS! https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2704027

        • @XCelR8:

          The ignorance with this one…
Max DL speed on 100/40 is generally 92-95Mbps, with some occasionally getting as high as 98Mbps. You will NEVER get 100Mbps due to overheads (despite your sync actually being 108Mbps, not 100).

        • @Viper8:

Considering NO company even admits to 88Mbps…. you are the ignorant one…

          https://www.itnews.com.au/news/aussie-broadband-telstra-rais…

I may have responded hastily, however, the comment about them providing 88Mbps is completely anecdotal.

          @XCelR8:
WTF are you on about? I'm addressing your comment about him getting 88 when he pays for 100, despite 100 not physically being possible. But you go off on your tangent…Your comment has -13 votes for a reason buddy.

    • +4

You shouldn't HAVE an initial setup fiasco! If you're getting 88mbps at peak times (the evening) that is pretty amazing however…

  • +2

Just wait until everyone finds out that they sell caged internets
& they don't let their plans wander around like Free-Range internets.

  • +3

Speeds up to 25Mbps should be banned from selling under NBN logo as a disgrace to high-speed broadband.

    • Yeah wait until you hit the NBN Great Wall Of Inaction And Indifference on FTTN when your NBN relegates you to a 12/1 service and no more. I should know. I'm grateful for 12/1 ISP offers lol! The NBN should discount the rate to 1/2 price for those on dodgy copper capped at a glorified ADSL speed on the fraudulent and discriminatory NBN. Third World.

  • alright deal if you just want a burner internet which can go down at any time and not come back.

Beware these guys are the worst ISP on the planet

Wouldnt go near these jokers even if someone paid me to. Strongly suggest reading the prior forum posts about all the major issues with this provider.

    • +2

So you’re basing your opinion on others experiences or your own? Just curious because you’re claiming they are…

the worst ISP on the planet.

Yet, you follow that up with…

      Wouldnt go near these jokers.

I’m all for people posting negative experiences but at least have had the experience yourself before making such claims. If you’ve worded your post incorrectly and have actually tried Buzz, I apologise.

My experience with them has been flawless for 6wks now with no congestion or dropouts and maxing out our connection.

      • +2

Based on my personal experienced of not getting connected for more than a month, my card being charged multiple times, no customer service whatsoever, no communication or refund for months. Multiple TIO complaints and escalations.

Many others experienced the same. Just read the forums. If you had a good experience with this lot then you are the odd one out.

    • Rubbish statement. Baseless hysterical comment. Pfft.

  • +2

are all the neggers here commenting on their experience post-2018 ?

last deal, $19 for 12/1 unlimited is Ozzie dreams nbn there

    • +3

That's published speed, do they get typical speeds of 6/0.5 with that plan?
It's not just the cheapest price but a decent speed that you would want to go along with say like 10/0.8 on that plan

  • +2

    So cheap.

This is going to go the way of Myrepublic.

    • MyR went the way of DoDo
Yes they all land up in landfill

      • +2

Did Dodo go the way of the dodo, in living up to its name?

    • +1

What do you mean? My Republic is working very well for me, and has been for over 12 months now.

      • Where do you live?

It's awful for me. And like an abusive relationship I'm afraid of leaving.

        • +2

          Thats what i just did.
          Switched to BuzzTelco from MyRepublic.

I have made a bad choice, TWICE, by the looks of it.
Never realised BuzzTelco would only be as good as MyR.

Anyway, will let you know tomm on the speeds i get.

        • Wodonga. About 300m from the box.

        • @Boodek: So.. out in the boonies where there's no one else to share your bandwidth with?

In your situation, you should be good for years.

        • @maddykartik:

getting roughly 95/25 (+/- 10/5 mbps) on a wired LAN connection

  • +3

Signed up to their 12/1 for $19.
Signup went smoothly, bought a modem and entered the credentials and everything's been working smoothly since.
Speed has never dropped below 10.5mbps down and 0.8mbps up, ping is 8-14ms.

    • +1

I pay five times that much for same speeds..Lol

But mine has unlimited local and mobile calls and some international.. still the internet speeds are shitty and should be higher for what I am paying.

      • +3

Ouch I'm really sorry that must sting, definitely.
I was recently watching the 7:30 report it was about the NBN and New Zealand, new Zealand doesn't have speed restrictions which I found very interesting, I would've thought that there would be so much congestion with people going mad downloading.
Some recent 4 Corners has been about the NBN,I have vdsl, I'm not gonna say exactly where I live but I live in Adelaide close to an exchange and the maximum obtainable speed I can get is 42/26.
I think we should of gone for a full fiver network, it would of very future proofed and better value.

        • +3

Stop making me jealous, still paying $59.90 P/M for crappier speeds.

        • +3

@BrodenIt: 💋 now everyone can be jealous of you!

  • I've been with them for about five months, bit of crap to start with but alls fine now.

  • I signed up today, cheers for the link.
If it turns out to be crap, I can change no problem. If it performs fine, then it is excellent value.

  • On another note what is the cheapest home broadband and phone solution with calls to India. I am fine with the slowest speed tier of 12/1 just need the phone situation.

Even better if the phone is flexible and some months can have India international calls on or off.

I don't really use the phone that often but having the ability to receive is necessary and calls to India is necessary for my roommate as he talks for hours every day and night when he is around.

Currently paying $100/month total with ACN (Don't ask) for both 12/1 internet and unlimited phone bill yeah…

  • Is this offer still available? I can't seem to find it. Looks like they have replaced it with another offer

    • No and it's nowhere near as good.

      • Actually the new deal is a good deal for me because I can save $150 straight away (new dev charge).
