crazy good price for xbox one x. Finally pulled the trigger. Thanks you!

    • +1

      Crazy price indeed :)

    • +2

I wish I could have gotten it this cheap! Betting they wont have stock for long…

  • Anyone know if you can somehow redeem the free PUBG from microsoft if you order this? It's free with xbonex purchases currently.

    • Not sure if this is any use. I think you might get a code delivered via Xbox messenger code. Not quite sure though? Maybe take it up with Microsoft Chat and ask / supply your receipt they may give you a code?

      • In a chat with them now. I'm guessing they'll say no, but worth a shot for making a good bargain even better.

      • +1

Had an online chat. Alas the deal needs to be from the microsoft store, or participating partners. Had a crack at getting a discount from the microsoft store instead but alas, no luck! (not that I was expecting it).

Bought the console. Cheers for the deal.

        • Damn… Check this other deal for a cheap PUBG.

  • is this seller reliable? anyone brought anything from them before? very good price but bit worried never hear a lot at ozbargain.

    • I've seen them pop up a few times on here. Not seen anyone scream warnings about them.

    • +7

      brought anything to where?

  • With Afterpay as well. Great!

    • I strongly suggest that you read the terms of use.

      • I've never used afterpay and have no intention of ever using it, but what's the catch?

        • +1

There really isn't much to it. It breaks it in to 4 payments, auto deducted from your card. If you miss a payment or it bounces, it's $10 fee, then $7 for every 7 unpaid days after, no interest ever charged. You can repay the full amount whenever you want.

Other than that, there's nothing shady and that part isn't shady because they tell you clearly, you can return goods as normal, warranties as normal with the retailer etc.

I guess the overall fact that this business entirely relies on people who can't control their spending just sort of it makes it a bit gross. If you can find some use for it though, it's fine.

        • @yellowc:

Yes I was reading an article about a company called black swallow that said something like over 50% of their sales was with after pay to broke ass uni students.

        • +2

They even notify you the day before the amount you owe for that period is due. It's honestly one of the best things to happen to the retail world. You can also use the app in store as it produces a barcode for the clerk to scan and then sets up the 4 payments automatically.

If you can't control your spending then it might be an issue, but that's for you to sort out. You can't blame McDonald's for making you fat… you were just too lazy to cook and clean. We all have the internet here and know right from wrong.

        • @aimon: That's not at all surprising, broke ass uni students seems to be the key demographic. They accept Visa/MC debit cards and I'd take a large wager this is where the bulk of the fees come from.

Awesome price on the xbox one x. The lowest ive seen so far

  • +1

I bought one via Paypal. If it is not right, I ll claim. Just try.
If it is not right, will update.

    • They had deals on for xbonex preorders similar to this and people on here got their delivery. Someone else did a fbook chat with them and confirmed its all Australian stock.

      • Woo, great. Looking forward to the package. Like a 5 yo kid lol

  • +1

These people will sell more stuff in one night than they have in 5 years.

    • that's ture, while i am thinking, seems both switchs are sold out already. anyway, this is not the cheapest, more deals will come. guess i will hurry up next time

Here's the details for the business:
    DANIEL JAMES CRAYFORD ABN 23 660 685 560 - Sole Trader

    • At least it doesn't say BRODEN

    • +1

      Sole Trader

I ain't buying no Xbox from a fish monger.

      • +1

Well hey, at least he isn't a soul trader

      • In all fairness, at lease he seems to have better stock management than some websites.

  • +1

    Switch is sold out

  • all sold out, maybe mark out of stock

  • All sold out now.

  • +1

Xbox One X and both Switches seem out of stock now

  • damn :( had the switch in the cart and then accidentally closed the screen and it was sold out lol

    • -2

      Reported to the mods.

  • Both colours for the Switch are out of stock now. Almost pulled the trigger and I missed a Switch deal again, was actually investigating the legitimacy of this business and hesitating.

  • nooooooooooooooooooooo. Went out of stock during check out.

    • +1

Same, for some reason I thought it would be a good idea to browse the rest of their stock for things to add to the order. Oh well. $528 in my pocket still.

      • Yeah I ALWAYS use paypal, this time I thought I'd give afterpay a try. By the time I had set up my account…Gone. I guess I'll wait till a better offer comes along ;-)

  • 460 for ps4 pro not bad and could tax return make it 420

  • +1

got my day one Xbox One X from these guys (see previous deals). no real worries. didn't receive a tax invoice/receipt though and when contacting them never got a reply.

    • +1

      Wooo…. seems not OK

    • +2

A big red flag right there. What if it breaks down and you need to claim warranty?

      • +3

Same as iPhone. Serial number is required only

  • +1

Has anyone who bought the switch had shipping?

    • +2

I didn't order a switch but an XB1X and I still haven't had any updates about the order , just the initial confirmation email. Tried emailing yesterday about status but still no response.

    • +2

Another with an XB1X on order yet to hear anything.

    • I cancelled. totally SCAM

  • +1

Got my X notification of shipment :)

  • I also got my xbone x notification of shipment yesterday. :)

Ordered it on the 27th, so that's within the promised seven business days.

    • +1

First I got the notification that item has been shipped. Then I got an update which includes a tracking number (it says auspost). But even today, I can't track the item. Says item does not exist in auspost. Are you able to track yours?

      • Same, couldn’t track mine… The tracking no given is just a 10digit code and it just said invalid, it should be longer than that. I got mine tracking no on Friday…..

        • About an hour ago I got another update email stating that the shipping status is updated. This time I got a new tracking number which I can track. Hopefully you will get another tracking number soon :)

        • @hitman47:
I got another tracking no too :) seems like they actually just shipped it today

      • +1

Mine was tracking fine and had arrived at the local distribution centre Monday morning. But on Tuesday, I was rather dismayed to discover it had apparently been delivered to an unknown address in another city 250km up the highway!

The seller informed me there'd been a labelling problem and four separate orders were sent to that one address by mistake. He quickly sent a new tracking number for a replacement unit. You chaps may have been caught up in that, too.

Fingers crossed it turns up this time!

        • +2

          Total scam.

        • TBD. I'll know for sure, one way or the other, by Monday.

        • @Ravelli: Any updates? Mine was on the same boat… tracking number showed it was on the way and today showed it was delivered to QLD when I live in NSW? Lodging a paypal dispute now.

        • @BabyFox:The replacement's tracking number has it still in VIC. It should shift tomorrow morning but I won't know if this one's actually kosher until the day of delivery (ETA is Monday).

  • +3

I have made my order of Switch on 27/02 and there is no update so far but a confirmation email initially. I have sent the email today while no reply is received. Additionally, I cannot comment on its Facebook for some reason. So things go unpredictably now.

  • +2

Finally, I have received the email from this business that :

    "Good Afternoon,

Your order as per our terms has been scheduled for collection today, however due to been informed that online you claimed everyone here was ignoring you and not responding to messages, even though the terms Clearly state 7 days i have cancelled the ordered with full effect

    Regards"

If I count correctly, today is the 8th business day since my order and this business manner is rude.

I have paid it via Paypal and not receive the Paypal refund notification yet, only the cancellation email from this business.

  • +1

My order still hasn't been shipped and I've been blocked on their facebook after sending a very very polite email asking for an update. This is looking really bad

    • +1

If you paid via Paypal suggest maybe lodging a refund and then they'll get in contact with the company asking what the go is.

      • Paypal was giving me hell at the time for some reason, and I was worried about it selling out i so I didn't use it. That was really stupid from my end. I'll have to contact the bank if there's no updates on this I guess.

        • I wouldn't stress to much, send another email to them and use another fb account to message them directly

    • The same, I cancelled, they asked for 10% cancellation fee! Can you believe that? they regret for the discounted. shame.

  • So I ordered the Switch and Zelda bundle and after waiting weeks and seeing the order as sent I finally received my package today. A $450 copy of Zelda with no Switch anywhere to be seen.

And of course they don't have a number to call.

    • I cancelled all my orders and claimed the cancellation fee! and they call me customers with attitude issues. Com'n, I am buying things, the only issue is buying from Geeky Homewares.

      • How did you cancel your order? Did you email them? Have you gotten your money back?

        • +1

Sent the email. They are more than happy to cancel your order and ask for 10% cancellation fee. You can argue. And they will say you are a naughty customer and refund in full. Really bad shopping experience.

    • did you get 1 or 2 tracking number? I got an email with another tracking no, saying par 2 then with the tracking.

My first tracking no is not working though, but the second one is on the way.

    • +1

Turns out they had sent the Switch separately without sending me a tracking number for it. It's arrived safe and sound :)

      • Thats lucky. Around 1 month though

  • Well, I'm incredibly relieved to be able to say that an Xbox One X just lobbed up on my doorstep! :D

    • Haha good stuff. Lets hope they appear for the rest.

      • Indeed, this whole business has been needlessly stressful and I hope everyone else gets sorted. Good luck!

    • I think my console also arrived too at the parcel locker :) Will have to pick it up after work.

      • Oh that's sweet! was it an Xbox?

Has anyone with a Switch had theirs shipped?

        • My one is a switch and I have tried to contact the seller via Facebook messenger, they did reply to me once and later blocked me to comment on their page, what I did was just asking about the tracking issue. (I have no intention to leave a post on their page anyways)
The package finally came yesterday, all in good condition.
They wrote the address manually and that’s why they could make a mistake, and they don’t have an address to return (probably is the seller’s Home) and just the package with no invoice.
Well, I guess I was one of the lucky one. They said they shipped on 8 march but I think they just shipped mine this Tue according to the tracking.
Hope you guys can get the consoles soon

  • I am still waiting for my Switch. I have received 0 communication from these guys since ordering and none of my emails have been responded to. I have resorted to escalating a Paypal dispute to hope for a response.

  • My XB1X order was initially sent to the wrong address. They did a redirection but now that has failed as well due to an invalid address provided by Geeky Homewares. Aust Post said they attempted to return the package to sender but the RTS address was left blank.

So now this package (which probably has a brick in it) is sitting somewhere in a sorting facility with a bunch of other undeliverable mail. Aust Post said it will be at least until Wednesday next week before they've had a chance to locate and scan it, and I should phone back then.

What a miserable experience this has turned out to be.

    • +1

This website should be forbidden on ozb

    • Heya mate how did you go with it?
Geeky homewares finally provided me with a tracking number which now says "Delivered" but I have definitely not received anything.
I now think they've also sent mine to the wrong address…

      • It's on its way! Still, lol. Tracking says it's in Alexandria NSW. I'm Brisbane. So hopefully next week sometime. If it arrives on Tues it will be exactly one month after ordering. Crazy.

        • Update: Still to receive my XB1X from the order placed 27 Feb. Have been given a new tracking number with an ETA of late next week.

        • Finally received my XB1X. The problem was they addressed it to the wrong street number, one that doesn't exist. This was the 2nd attempt at mailing the console by Geeky after the original was sent to the completely wrong address halfway up the Sunshine Coast.

If you source electronics from somewhere like Amazon or one of the major retailers they'll place it in a larger box with bubble wrap for shipping. Geeky just wrapped some paper around it instead. It turned up with one corner severely indented and a significant tear in the cardboard. Impossible to know if it was sent like that or it happened in transit. Probably the latter but there really should've been more care taken with shipping.

There was no invoice or proof of purchase.

  • Asked for a cancellation of my order, but it's been a week since then and no reply or update as to my order status.

  • I got my X. But yes extremely dodgy!!

    • Yeah, not happy with the way they do there deliveries. Seems like their just bad at keeping in contact and actually putting the deliveries together and out on time. Glad you got yours.
