The prices for the 'bargain' you posted so we can compare with other stores.

Might be a little hard as these are for Custom made blinds and shutters. Also with blinds there are different materials that will determine the price also.
With the Shutters , The Eco Air will be about $199psm for DIY and $269psm Installed after the discount of 15%
Solid PVC about $299psm, etc.

Also, how do we know if we can't buy them cheaper elsewhere?

Well usually only if it is a sale its a genuine sale.
This would have to be compared to a quote from other companies as well.
Usually what happens with the sales reps come to your house they can jack up the price and also put more for their own bonus commission.
We have the fabric names from the big suppliers which you can compare. If its plain fabric compare with plain and textures compare with textures if they have the same fabrics.
You can get quotes from other companies and if we are more expensive we are happy to have a look to see if we can beat it.
I know it is not as simple as buying an apple iphone from 2 different shops.

I still fail to see why this is a bargain if it can't be shown your prices are the cheapest.

I think your not understanding how custom made blinds work?
You need to measure your windows and get quotes and also get a quote from us to see the total price.
There is no instant price showing because all windows are different.. All we are offering is a discount from our normal pricing which in the end you could save $2000 if the price is $4500 from a traditional retailer.
We can only say for example below.,
Another blinds company for PVC plantation shutters $410psm ( 2mx2m window will be $1640 for one window)
Our price $299psm after discount will be $1196 so one window you are already saving $444

JV, do you know the difference between a set price for a product and a custom made product? You want to buy milk, no problem. Easy to compare. You want to buy health, car, house, travel insurance. You can't just ask for price to be shown as it will depend on several factors what the final price will be.
Therefore you have to ask for a quote and compare it with others if you want to know whether it is a bargain or not. Then you can come and complain here if it isn't a bargain. Got it?

The problem with this product is it is a custom made. that means even if they said like it starts from this amount, it would still mean nothing because as I said it is custom made and therefore you will get one price and I will get another since we don't have the same needs. No point flogging a dead horse when even with a starting price it would still be subjective. You would have to find like for like product which can not be done here unless you get a quote and then compare with others. Sure, they may have jacked up the cost of it, but there are many positive votes for eBay even though they jacked up prices.
Sometimes it is not that easy to know whether this is one or the other and you are asking a bit much and even if they gave you a price what would you do? would you believe it is a bargain or would you check? How many times did you check a deal you were interested in, that the price is a bargain, or did you just believe it was a bargain because someone said so?

I had shopped around then they had the deal.their prices are already competitive. Plus they are a small business so I doubt they margins are huge.

There are prices on your website of $399 psm? Why not mention that? Is it an additional 15% on top of the $399 "sale" that is currently happening?

So for the plantation shutters the original $399psm then take further 15% off that per square meter price.
There are different shutter products and if it is DIY or install prices.
If I order some free samples, does that hold the discount until I'm ready to have someone come measure and decide to install later?
