but who comes up with these names? coffee lake?
shame i cant use this on my H170 :'(
guess next upgrade path would be to get a nice used 7700 or 7600 as my board dosent support cofee lake R.I.P
Great deal.
Complimentary Spectre & Meltdown inside.
Unless you have an AMD processor, chances are this has already affected you…
Reasons to by ryzen
Bypass?
Is that a new cologne?
Haha looking at my comment now, dam auto did that
Reason to buy a ryzen maybe amd can expand into the fragrance market like every other celebrity or auto maker, why not a CPU gpu manufacturer
Great deal OP!
Cheaper than most wholesalers, good price. +1 from me.
Good price, no 8400
I got one from computer alliance for $225 with the 10% off code before it expired
pity no cheap motherboards available yet..
Or cheap DDR4 ram if you're upgrading from an older gen cpu
there's some good value h110 boards out there that would suit this but a board costing the same as ONE stick of ddr4 4gb…
not much point building pcs when its so expensive
I know the deal has expired, but in case anyone reads this, H110 is for skylake and kaby lake. A H110 won't support this or any other coffee lake cpu.
My 8 year old i7 3770 still beats new i3s.
My parents still beat me
That escalated quickly
Nazis.
The end.
@Diji1: This guy took the elevator.
Same with my 10 year old xeon x5650
I've got an x5675 running @ 4.4GHz. It still does a great job. https://valid.x86.fr/bench/s1zywv/4
How much did you pay for your x5675?
@SimpleRoger: I found it in ewaste. It was in an old workstation with a fried mainboard.
@skegger: Haha better than some i5s, that's mad
And how much power does it consume?
77w
Oh ok I got owned lol! 65watts for 8100. Well has much better Igpu though LOL
You do need a z370 board for this chip, which are still pricey. And you'll have to jump through a few hoops if you want to use linux (or you had to 2 months ago at least). Other than those things, an awesome chip.
Great cpu.
