true that
Bunnings one seems to have a bigger cooking surface (1340 x 490mm) compared to Aldi (less than 1100 x 545mm). Its also heavier (53 kg) than the Aldi's (32 kg).
I think the 1100 x 545 is the box dimensions for Aldi
Infinitely adjustable. Nice.
thickness of the cooking plate is important to reduce hot spots,
the bunnings one is very thin compared to heatlie or beefeater, saw a beefeater at bunnings but it was $499.I don't think we know the thickness of the cooking plate for the Aldi BBQ?, so difficult to do a complete comparison.
I think the Bunnings ones have a closed as well as an open hot plate, where the Aldi one is two closed hot plates.
The Bunnings BBQ is very rickety. I guess there is no way of knowing if the Aldi one is also, until you assemble it.
IMHO solid plate barbeques are useless unless you're doing sausage sizzles at events.
Might as well cook inside on the frypan.
Biggest reason to get a barbeque is to grill.
Similar at $199 at Bunnings?
