How does this compare to -
Bosch Green PMF 180 E 180W Multi-Tool 240V - Carton Damage $ 49.99 (RRP $ 160.99 $111 OFF)
https://www.toolswarehouse.com.au/bosch-green-pmf-180-e-180w…Dremel is now owned by Bosch, and from previous experience, Dremel replacement parts use Bosch part numbers.
So the only difference will be the shell, and what comes in the box.The Dremel has a 270w motor, the Bosch 180w. The Dremel would be my choice.
My dad bought one of this from a TV ad, may have been labelled under a different brand.
It's pretty average TBH.
It's a good oscillating tool, but note the head has a slightly different pattern than the bosch one, total tools sells an adapter that lets you bridge the gap.
Build quality wise I found it better than the bosch green, but not as good as the bosch blue.
My 2 cents…
This model is a POS. You will struggle getting attachment/bits for it at Bunnings and eBay (the el-cheap ones). Heaps of other multi-tools out there with a universal head pattern which you can easily buy attachments for.
I really regret buying this for $149 at Masters a couple years back. Got to be one of my worst power tool purchases thus far.
I know that's the official dremel description. But it's definitely not a cutter?? The saw-max is a cutter. I have Zilch idea what the multi-max does that the saw-max doesn't. Maybe strip paint?
Genuine question.
