https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/361536Pulled the trigger. I couldn't seem to get the free controller working with any other colour or the fly more pack. might snoop around the ebay sales to see if I can get some spare batteries.
Guys out of curiosity where do you use these things. Popular spots seem to have a lot of restrictions and penalties. Just want to know about this…
Fortunately it is a case of where you can't fly, and avoiding those areas. Use the CASA app on your phone or via their web site to determine via a map the safe regions.
https://www.casa.gov.au/aircraft/standard-page/can-i-fly-the…As long as you obey the flight rules you can still have a lot of fun. I've flown my Spark from parks, near bridges, and from points in the Blue Mountains.
To note, the Spark controller is a must have that greatly expands the Spark's capabilities.

Do keep in mind that the CASA app only tells you about CASA regulations. Local regulations still apply.
e.g. if you search for Uluru on the casa app, it'll tell you that you're allowed to fly there. However, it's a national park so you're not actually allowed to fly there.
You can fly over National Parks, they just do not allow you to takeoff or land from a NP. Nobody owns the airspace, and only CASA control it.
@Ijuiceman: OK, if that's actually practical for anyone (short battery life, must maintain direct visual contact), that could work. But my point stands - local regulations apply.
The CASA app literally says "Check before you fly! There may be other rules you must comply with, such as local government/council rules, national parks and privacy." on the flight restrictions popup box when you click on a place.
I take mine out of the Metro areas to do fly bys and nature shots.. Works pretty well as long as you arent there to annoy people.
Works ok as a selfie cam too - just don't fly it where there's lots of people generally and you'll be good.
I'm only able to get this deal to work with the White drone.
The other colours say they're part of the deal, but the finale price is still $800+Not sure why this shows as expired, but still active on the JB HiFi website. Lots of JB stores near me (Melbourne) showing stock. Also showing as valid on all the various Spark colours too.
Says expiry May 3, not March 3.
Now that's a bargain! the controller is $100 or more by itself, but the flymore combo is better value if you were going to go down that route anyway.
