  • Guys who own it: can it crush all veggies/fruits to smooth consistency? Or only the higher watt machines can do it?

    • +3

Crush to a pulp? Perhaps not, as you need enough liquid in the cup to ensure it spins around and the hard bits hit the blades. But given you've got enough liquid in there (milk, water) it will atomise pretty much anything you throw at it.
I love my machine. I use it for everything from smoothies to making bechamel sauce (without messing up pots) as well as a home-made garlic and chilli pesticide for the garden.

    • I destroyed 4 times blenders as Kenwood and Trentin in a few months. Got this one 15 months ago and never had any problems.By the way you need some liquid to blend the frozen stuff.

    • +1

I've had the 600W one for a couple of years and it works great.

    • +1

Ive tried all the coles frozen fruits (blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, mango, raspberries) with ice-cubes. It works pretty well.

    • +2

      Thx guys, got one.

  • I have the original 600W one, same size tall cup. I find that yes it does blend it to a very smooth consistency IF you DON'T fill it right to the max and having some liquid helps. I like using mine but it is not as solidly built as I expected it to be.

For comparison sake, the ones they use at BOOST JUICE seen to be lightyears better but prob more expensive too :)

For everyday blending of fruits and vegies, it gets the job done! For things that are a bit HARDER TO CRUSH/CUT UP, take care.

    • -1

IF you DON'T fill it right to the max and having some liquid helps.

The max level is for the liquid

      • Maybe, but look at the picture of the blender - it's pretty much filled to the brim with fruit haha.

        • You can exceed the max level with fruit, but not the liquid.

        • @jv: who reads the manual? ;)

    • The ones they use at Boost Juice are the vitamix, I own one of those, best $1000 I've spent.

        Isn’t it a Blendtec® Total Blender?

Just received an email from TGG

I got four emails about it…

    • So why didn’t you post it previously ?

      • +4

I saw them after I read this post.

There $79 at target $99 $20 off with code so $79

    • +22

But this is $69. Which is less than $79.

      • Not everyone have Good Guys in their towns

        • Delivery starts from $5, which is still less than $79

        • @Lycan: Shows $150 for where I currently am.

    • Can get them off eBay for under $69 free postage as this model is a clearance item
Some shops have already discontinued this model

      • Yeah?
        Show us the link…

      • Please continue…..

        Any evidence to back this?

  • Thank you OP….bought one.

  • this or the ninja?

    • They're really too similar to strongly suggest one over the other. They'll both blend the shit out of most things.

    • I have used the Ninja for a couple of years and still going strong. But it's a pain to get extra cups and expensive. The Nutri Bullet may be a better option in this regard.

    • +3

Get the ninja 300, awesome bike

  • I've been waiting for a deal on the 1000w series. Code doesn't apply to that one too unfortunately. Does anyone have experience with this 900w one and the 1000w series?
Please advise if the wait is worth it.

    Thanks

    • I have the 900, my girlfriend just bought the top of the range one. They do the same thing basically. I would prefer the better on but only because it is more expensive and a little quieter

  • -6

This is normal price for the 900w

    • +9

In North Korea, the people have pineapples for hands.

Do you see how I made something up there with no factual evidence to back it…

      • sorry my mistake i was thinking of te 600w

  • I've just bought a 1000W 2 days ago.
Works very well though i personally think 900W might struggle abit.
I would suggest at least 1000W or higher to reduce the amount of stress on the motor depending what you mainly blend.

    • +1

Do you find that your motor smells burnt after use? I do with the 1000w

      • Yes i do actually. I've used it 3 times and it has a burnt smell.
I've emailed customer service they have mentioned due to any new appliance it will scent of a burnt smell.

        • they all do…take a little time to go away….no drama

        • I am having doubts about that since my one is going pass the 'new appliance mark'. I've had it for more than a month and practically use it everyday and it still has a burnt motor smell.

        • @slipperypete:

Yes drama, check my above reply.

        • +1

          @PeeDee:
I also have an omniblend which I got before this. Great machine but expensive and not as practical. It even has that it'll smell in the manual.
My girlfriend has the 1000w version and it is still smelling after a months use. Doesn't concern me as I know that they do this.

My suggestion is keep using it, then maybe after another month or two if it still smells then take it back. It is still covered under warranty and the chances are with a replacement it'll still smell the same. At least if you wait a while and THEN get a replacement machine you will have a device that still smells but has 3 months less wear n tear

        • +1

I wouldn't lose your knickers about it.
Hang on, i wouldn't get your knickers in a knot about it.
          Yeah, that's it.

I pulled apart an old Kambrook Blender that was stuffed a week or two ago.
Yeah, i like doing that kind of shit.
There's always going to be a bit oil and stuff around the motor which may burn off, especially if you use it for more than a few moments.
But after it's burnt in, it shouldn't smell so much.

          Thank you.

    • Did you get a good deal on the 1000w one?

      • Well, I got it for $99 :)

        • +1

:o teach me how. Cheapest I've found is $127 on ebay after the 5% off.

        • There $129 at myer free postage after the 20% code 1000w model

        • @Dex38313: What 20% off code?
          With Ebay's 10% off I can see it's down to $134.10.
The one I was watching was price jacked today.

  • Can we use 900W for crushing pepper and hard things…i was reading onlined about some miller blade, does it come in box….please let me know if anyone is aware…Thanks.

    • Yes. I grind whole coffee beans in mine with no problem.

      • Is that with normal blades? Bought the 1000w one the other day and it says you must include a liquid when blending?

    • Miller blade not included AFAIK

  • I got 1200 watt. Makes huge noise, but blends everything. Only thing is I have to close all the windows so that the neighbors don't disturb.
    But blends everything !!!!

    • I think it is quieter than this one!!!!

    • Yes, I got this one as well for $115, and I think it's worth it.

Would JB HiFi price match? How to get them to do this online?

Choice don't have a review on this, but they did review the Nutribullet Pro 9pc Set / 900 series NB9-0907M (likely identical base unit) as part of their Single-serve blender reviews.

It was one of 3 (out of the tested 15) that they recommended.
The others recommended were the Vitamix S30 ($695 ffs) and the Trent & Steele TS200 Nutritional Blender ($149).

BTW this has sold before @ $69 at both HN & TGG.

Not sure i need one - only just bought myself a blender, and they're not that hard to clean.

    Good points

    • Very good overall.
    • Excellent for performance.
    • Very good for selected nutrients in green smoothie.
    • Very good result for blending kale.
    • Very good result for green smoothie.
    • Excellent result for grinding nuts and crushing ice.
    • Excellent for frozen fruit smoothie.
    • Easy to assemble.
    • Suction feet, keep the unit stable.
    • All parts dishwasher safe except blade assemble.
    • Large cup capacity.
    • Two cup sizes suitable for drinking from with a screw on soft edge and a separate soft lip with handle.

    Bad points

    • Only Ok for ease of use.
    • Extremely noisy.
    • Can be difficult to remove blade assembly from cup after processing as the blade base is very wide and it becomes tighter after processing. There's no grip on the blade assembly to remove, difficult for persons with weak wrists and fingers.
    • Removing the gasket is not advised - but we had to do so in order to remove the residue (if there is any damage to the gasket a new blade assembly can be purchased by contacting Goldair).
    • Difficult to clean any spills inside the unit.
    • Juice leaked out during processing through the blender and splashed onto the bench, difficult to clean (not sure why as it only happened once).
    • When turning off turn anticlockwise, wait for the motor to stop before removing the jug. If the motor is still running the mechanism can grind and possibly damage the spindle.

    Ease of use score 66%
    Nutrient score 86%

  • When does the promo code expire?

  • 1000W Nutri Ninja IQ $55 on gumtree here

I bought one off gumtree for $65 (rarely used) about a year ago and been using it 4x a week. No problems whatsoever. I'd prefer IQ because you can set it up, press the button and walk away while you do other stuff.

    • That IQ seems handy. The salesman when i bought the 1000w one said most of the returns are from people walking away and the motor burning out. He said it will blend wverything in less than a minute and to just hold it down and you will never have issues

  • Nothing available in my local store - do TGG ship stock between stores to allow for local pickup?

  • +6

In true ozbargianer fashion I just bought one thinking it was a great deal, called the misses to give her the good news, only to be told we had one since 2016.

    Lol

I guess we will do a mine and hers versions..

    • I've ordered stuff from TGG and they've agreed to cancel before delivery, but be quick as they don't faff around.

Check your PayPal email for the right email address, assuming you used PayPal.

      • I was thinking this too, but they literally sent it out 1 hour later. Ah well I'll give the old one to my family.

  • 69… they know whats up

  • can you put ice in it and it won't damage the blades? I want to make milk shakes and I use to own a mix and go blender which I had to throw out because blade went blunt.

  • Great deal, thanks OP! Got myself one.

  • +1

got one from ebay last week, 15 piece, $81 with big5 code
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Nutribullet-Pro-900W-Juicer-…

There are 4 of these in the parcel room now lol

    • They're not new bro…

  • doh … even cheaper here @ $67.53 for the 15 piece version with code 'PRONTO', as long as you include this little guy @ $1.04.

    • +1

Yes I got from Ebay with the code.
Added a 1.01 tempered screen protector (will use anyway).
Should also emphasize this gives you free shipping and an extra 0.75 cashback via cashrewards.
