    I gather this is an add-on pack for existing voice service customers. Same as the deal offered by Vodafone (not surprising as the two companies have/or are about to merge).

      I believe the three unlimited offers are only when it goes through the "Planet 3" system (ie. on the handset only).

      edit: Sorry just read the t&cs.. look like this has changed.. from that it would seem if you used the data on a pc and just used m.facebook.com etc it would be free.. wouldnt look to pretty on the pc though.

      Same here…..link doesnt take us to this deal….even assuming $8 500 mb 12 month deal was half price at $4 but its not updated yet but that still not 700mb

      the 6GB for $20 a month deal sounds good i wish i heard about it? currently i got three to match vodafones deal a couple of months ago of $29 for 6gb but spend many hours dealing with their billing errors and the pocket wifi modem drops out and is so slow on the 3 network.

        It was a half price deal, I've had it for quite a while now..

        Reception with three is pretty shocking, luckily I work in a really well supported area a suppose, if I walk out of town I can hardly even make a call lol.

        Yeah threes billing system is easily the worst I've ever encountered.

      You don't have to wait for your plan to finish. If you only change your plan you will not be charged $35 cancellation fee. My wife called 3 last night, she changed her plan. Her new plan is in a new 12 months contract which will expire this time next year.
      However 3 care cannot find this $4+youtube plan, so she just updated to $4 plan.

      I watch SD videos on 3G with -80db~ and it never needs to buffer..

      You seriously shouldn't need to wait for adsl2+ to buffer, my stuff is mostly loaded before the video even appears on the screen.

      AFAIK the iphones compress the video on the server before sending it across.

      I use mobile Youtube application on my Nokia E63. It will automatically adjust the size/quality of the video. I never experience any buffering when using wifi.

      If I use 3 to watch Youtube, it needs to buffer sometime due to reception strength or 3 problem.

    I don't get this.. So it's just a data plan? Does this have any use if you already have a normal phone plan with data? Does it add on top of that, or is it one or the other (I'm on Voda)? And is it capable of calling etc or is it just a pure data for things like tablets etc?
