    I'd have to support that statement. When they had two pairs for $30 or so, I was thinking it'd be alright. However, the laceless shoes turned out to have expired elastics so everytime I lifted my foot, the shoe wouldn't want to follow exactly. The other pair was quite spartan in terms of internals and wore through quickly.
    Having said that, you might yet find a good deal if you spend up enough.

    I was hunting for a pair of decent sandals last week and checked out Rivers. Like boonanza, they were pretty poor quality, cheap yes, but not worth it for me in the end.

      I should say, they have both some quality and poor quality products. I bought a good looking sandal, but was cheap. I was surprised to see, it was loosing color was sticking to my feet.
      However T shirt was good and its still the same.

      Edit: Forgot to mention, Other river sandal, a but expensive was quite good, both in looks and quality :)

  Ozbargain is definately for me:) Something is only a bargain if you get value for money and rivers footwear is crap so there is no value for money but go for it if thats what you want.

  I think their clothing and shoes are good quality. I used to shop at kmart and payless shoes so maybe my perception is low.
  Might drop in after work and check it out.

    Yes, Rivers quality and look is better than Kmart.
    For shoes and sandals, I personally dont like Kmart. Spend a bit more and on sale (many times they are 40%), Colorado are quite good.
    Kmart do sell branded things at surprisingly cheap rate.
