I think waiting out this format war will see the price drop to mainstream level.
That said seeing an OLED in Harvey Norman with a Walking Dead dark scene on all display TV's was an eye opener. It was from foxtel broadcast (something you'd actually watch at home) and you could see how the LCD etc based TV's had nothing on the OLED's, and the blacks where a massive difference. Then I had to remind sales guy to change channel….
Nope - grab a 2017 LG OLED before the Pana. The 2018's are 95% the same as the 2017's and they were/are the best out there.
yeh, agree on the LG, this is a damn good price though, find us an LG for the same
I have the LG but the Pana has better motion processing and colour calibration.
LG supports more HDR formats, has lower input lag, better OS and cheaper price.
LG is a dodgy company when it comes warranties though. I have never had a LG that didn't break, too bad their products are almost always best value for the price.

This is dangerous. Hanging out to upgrade my 7yo 55" LCD to a 65" OLED but want to drop a bit less than 3k. I feel this may happen before the end of financial year at this rate
