Don't forget 8.4% cashrewards for new customers

  • Any exclusions op? I can't see anything on the site?

  • Well that code wouldn't work for me, but 'birthday10' got me a second free pair so I still get my 50%

    Thanks OP

    • BIRTHDAY10 gives u 2nd frame for FREE. The code doesn't discount on prescription lens.

      • Yeah, I could have been clearer.. I just went for the basic no frill lens which they was free.

The original deal was better but it all screwed up when I got to paypal; possibly because I had two pairs. It applied the code on their site OK then going through paypal it denied it.

All the same, mine have arrived already and seem OK.

        Cheers.

  • Certainly didn't work on the pair I tried (Oakley) - Only gave $10 off the $200 total.

Or this for 20% off if buying one pair and the above code doesn't work https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/336245

It didn't work for my old accounts but definitely did work for an order with a different (new) email address, so if it's not working maybe delete cookies and use a different email. I got Rayban sunglasses with thin lense for $140, just scraped in under my extras limit.

  • can anyone comment on their experience is with this store? I've never bought prescription glasses online before also do they take hbf?

    • They have free returns within 30days, so if u don't like it, just let them know for a free return label and full refund so u have nothing to lose but a bit of time. I don't have insurance but on the checkout there's a section where u can write in ur insurance details.

      • Thanks for that, I'm a little concerned about it even if there are free returns, ie. if communication is poor and they're slow about it, it could cross over the 30 day threshold then I can't get it returned.

        • "We offer a 30 day return policy on all products, and a 365 day warranty on eyewear, from your delivery date."

If you'd like further peace of mind, I've used Clearly for contacts several times with no hassles. This deal has led me to using them now for glasses and prescription sunnies.

        • @folktaliesin: So you just get your eyes checked, ask them for all the details and put in the order?

        • @pyro love bird: Bingo. Just get your optometrist to print or email your prescription to you. You can also just duck into Specsavers as they generally have appointments available to boot. For glasses, you'll also want to ask them for you 'PD' (your pupillary distance) which is the distance between your pupils. They often leave this out on the official prescription.

        • @folktaliesin: No worries, thanks so much for all the info, I was going to grab a pair for my mom as OPSM is trying to charge her $800 odd for them, multifocal something a rather

        • @pyro love bird: OPSM are the worst. They prey off people who don't know you can get your glasses anywhere. Good luck :)

        • @folktaliesin: When I got my original (and only pair) back in 2011 they were fantasatic, and reasonable prices, which is why she went there, but the manager was quite rude to mom, and her maths didn't really add up when my mom gave me what they quoted her. I'm not that familiar with what you need for glasses as mine are single lens, but I thought it was a bit ridiculous to be charging about $880 if I remember correctly. Mine were about 1/4 of the price!

Any optos you recommend in VIC?

  • Anyone know when this deal ends?
