I have the 2.0 version of these and while they sound good, they are very very uncomfortable. The headband doesn't extend far enough for my head and my head isn't even that big. Any idea if they have improved the comfort on the 3.0 version?

    • https://www.cnet.com/products/parrot-zik-3-0/ Review here says that the headband is now larger

    • Agree with this 100%, 2.0 version is downright painful to wear after a while. Which is a shame since they sound great, have great features and I actually think the app is pretty nice.

Tempted to grab these as apparently they enlarged the headband, but I think it's not just the size but the actual design of the headband (round metal with thin padding instead of flat, light plastic on the Bose / Sony) which makes them uncomfortable, and these still look the same.

      • Yeah the lack of padding on the headband + small earcups doesn't help with the comfort. I don't think these are worth getting if you already own 2.0's as they sound about the same. The battery life is still pretty abysmmal as well.

I agree, I also have a pair of these (Zik 2 bought from a catch sale) and they sound amazing, but can be a little awkward to wear, I thought they could be worn about the neck, the shape suggests it, but no.

Happy Valentine's Day stormii there are more people who live you than you know :)

        • +1

Naw, you fulfilled your promise ^.^

        • @stormii:

          :)

          *Love.

  • +1

Awesome price. This price point is normally for the Zik 2, not 3

  • That’s 50% off rrp!

  • so tempted…this or the sony/Bose ones at half the price?? decisions decisions…

    • +2

oh crap….couldnt resist and pulled the trigger…will have to smuggle home… lol
      Thanks OP! :)

      • What colour did you get?

        • +1

          black smooth + Qi charger.
One tip - anyone who wanna get it should get it with the qi-charger as it cost over $50+ separately on ebay!

        • +1

          @homersyd: Same here :)

        • @homersyd:

I personally wouldn't. Whilst it's $20 extra, it's not really worth it seeing as the fact is that the Parrot Zik's work with ANY Qi Charger. So you may as well use the one you have if you got one, or if your phone is Qi Charger compatible, get one for your phone and secondary to the Parrot Ziks. The Parrot Ziks one is rounded, so you can't use it with your phone whereas it's not the same vice versa.

        • @Tuttorix: good point - except it's too late now… :)

        You're thinking of Budgie maybe.
There's no such thing as parrotsmugglers.

    • +1

For this price, it is definitely worth it.

  • +1

that is insanely cheap, these were overpriced at $600 but $175?

Just a shame they're mostly butt ugly, the battery life sucks and the app is apparently terrible. Still a bargain though if you can put up with those 3 things (but I want them for long flights)

    • They come with a USB/Micro-USB charging cable. Wonder if you can charge them with a portable battery charger?

      • +1

        Yep, I have version 1

      • Rather than plugging your headphones in while using them (and defeating the purpose of having bluetooth headphones), you can hotswap the battery in the Parrot Ziks. You'll have to fork out a bit more for genuine batteries though.

        • Great idea. Never thought of that.

    • +1

I've found the app to be fine - looks good and has a bunch of nice features (not that I've used most of them).

Think it was fairly buggy in previous versions of the headphones but they seem to have ironed most out. And at least it doesn't spy on you like Bose!

The JBL Everest is a good price, $116.30 delivered.
If you buy both hp, delivery is only $10.

Cheers OP, went for the crocodile, looks like my Master & Dynamic's are retired……

  • +1

Thanks for the sweet deal! My 3 years old bluetooth headphones will finally go to rest as they should have since a while ago judging by their state ^^

  • -3

    My god they’re ugly.

Parrot site showing these are discontinued/no longer sold FYI.

    • How come you can still buy them? Here

      • Check out global parrot.com site. You'll see: "THIS PRODUCT IS NO LONGER SOLD" on the Zik 3 product page.

        • That's weird, wonder if v4 is coming out

  • +1

These or the Bose QC35 II? Anyone have experience with either using hearing aids?

    • Wouldn't it be better if you get the bone conduction ones if you have hearing problems?

      The Aftershokz are quite good…

  • +1

    Bought. Thanks

  • No longer available? Search comes up empty.

    • what you mean? clicking on the main link in this post still shows them on ebay….

  • Pass……. They're a 2-3 year old model running Bluetooth 3, the removable battery is a cool feature but given the improvements in audio/bluetooth in the last couple of years, they're probably not up there with current models.

  • +1

I have the Zik 2's which I find to be supremely comfortable. Nothing else in this price range comes close. Got a pair for my wife :)

  • +2

    Ordered Sun, delivered tue.

Headphones are excellent. Just as good as QC 35 and for half the price.

    Spare battery is only $30

    • Mine are due to arrive today too. Glad you like them. I read somewhere that they can take a long time to pair up to devices. Did you find that was the case? Cheers.

      • +1

Haven't paired up to Bluetooth yet.

        Will do it today.

Used the headphones wired and they worked well.

        • Got mine today too. Connected to Bluetooth on my S8 in 2 seconds no problem. They sound awesome. Love em!

        • +1

          @Jase2801:

Yep finally connected mine to bluetooth. Works well on Android 8.1.0.

Also updated the Zik software through the Zik app on playstore.

    • The genuine battery only lasts 6 hours but the non genuine batteries last even less.

  • +1

Ordered Sunday got it today! Really nice build quality, wide sound stage, bass not as tight as i wanted but it's not bad.
Treble sounds a little compressed. Really comfy and the NC is up there with the Bose QC35 (I've tried them at JB).
And like someone mentioned above, it's half the price of the QC35 so this is a no brainer! :)

    • +1

You are right so comfy. I forget they are on my head. Very light too.

      • +1

thanks for posting such an awesome deal for all of us mate! :)

    • If you want lots of bass try the Sony 1000x
